Hello, my friends!
I am over the moon to be a part of the Dom and Jane Show. I am finally living proof of that old saying, “If you love what you do, you never have to work a day in your life.”
I was born in New York, although I call myself a Ken Caryl girl… A Chatfield graduate to be exact. And my many adventures have brought me everywhere from Europe to California. The stage of Shakespeare’s Globe, to the lights of the Las Vegas Strip. And after years of soul searching, two broken engagements, four different colleges, and millions of hours in the restaurant industry, here I am. Yappin yer ear off on Mix 100.
A quick breakdown of moi includes, but is not limited to:
1. I would gratefully eat sushi for each meal every day of my life if I could afford it.
2. My dirty little secrets include, but are not limited to: a full-on nail polish addiction, Bryan Fuller television series, live bar trivia, Goonies/Pretty Woman quotes, Daddy-Daughter meals, boxed-wine consumption, Marilyn Monroe and Beatles snapshot collecting, and The Gin Blossoms. I freaking love the Gin Blossoms.
3. My doggie, Kramer, is the cutest Shih Tzu on the planet; quite possibly the cutest dog in the world. It’s really not fair to other pups how ridiculously adorable my Kramer is.
4. Friends are my family, and my family is my life… And oh how I love to embarrass my sucker friends and family.
5. I, without fail, say what everyone is thinking but too scared to voice out loud. It’s a blessing… And a curse. (As I’m sure you know from listening to the show!)
Let's be friends! I'm good for a chuckle or two. Find me on Facebook. And please, keep listening to the Dom and Jane Show weekday mornings for hours of laughs, stories, and general merriment. You, my dears, rock my world.  Check out my Instagram, Facebook or blog below!

A day surrounded by family needs a buffer or two... Unless you're totally ok with explaining to your extended family you haven't seen all year why you're still not married. *cough*cough*
So please accept these Thanksgiving Day games from me to you, my offering for a peaceful and joyous Turkey Day.

Any nail art wannabe can pull this one off...
You'll need about 5 colors. That's how many I used, you can do whatever your lil heart desires though. Be sure that the colors are in the same neighborhood, complimentary so-to-speak, and it's nice to have a pop of white.
And your tools are easy peasy, just grab a bobby pin or two, and a few toothpicks. Bend the bobby pin apart and use the ends as your dotters. Be sure not to put too much polish on the end, or your dot will be too globby. (I'm using very technical terms here...) ;-)
Start with the darkest color dots, don't do too many, then layer the white second. After that, dot with a lighter color, then go back to dark. (If you have that many colors, that is.) Use the toothpick at the end to scatter some tiny dots about. Make a nice, random variety of dot sizes. I even threw in silver glitter dots, just for extra girlyness.
Better wait about 5 to 10 minutes or so before you put your topcoat on, don't want all your dots to blur together.
And that's it. BAM.
Nail art level: dot-tastic.

My alarm goes off at 3:41am. That is not a pleasant hour, for those of you wondering. I then peel myself out of the cocoon of my bed and trudge to my bathroom to get ready. (No, I don't just wake up lookin like this.)
I don't know what your getting ready routine consists of, but for as long as I can remember, I've gotten ready to music. A CD, my iTunes, the radio, (Mix 100.3 obvi). I need something to sing along to as I get in the mascara zone.
This week's face bedazzling routine began with Barry White. It was glorious. I thought it might be fun to share the music I've gotten ready to this week, give you a peek inside my bathroom.
Be warned, this is the most random mix of music you will ever find in one blog. But enjoy.
And you look beautiful today.

Some nincompoop (Dom) suggested that we hash out the Greatest Song EVER. *gulp*
This is quite obviously impossible, but we laugh in the face of a challenge, and started to compile nominees.
Mind you, Rolling Stone, a significant leader in all things rock-and-roll, a medium in which the majority of the greatest moments of music history was captured, who employs over ONE HUNDRED people, attempted this wee greatest-song-ever task a few years ago. But whatevs. The Dom and Jane Show can handle it.

There are certain things that I will just buy just because. I won't research the product, try on the item, or listen to the album. For example, the Harry Otter T-shirt I have. I don't ever wear the dang thing, I bought it out of sheer dedication to otters and Harry Potter... and quirkyness.

There's so much talent in the world, I can't stand it.
Looking through these pictures, it was hard for my brain to register that I was looking at a female face... not a painting or the actual humans themselves.
Dude. Wow.
This may be the coolest thing you see today.

To Jamie, whoever you are, I want to send my deepest thanks.

Got to spend some delicious down time this weekend watching 90s movies. This particular film really does stand the test of time. Sure, the special effects are a bit cheesy now, but otherwise it's just a fantastic piece of entertaining cinema.
And the theme song?? So. Freaking. Great.
Listen and smile, my friends. Listen and smile.
