Drew Barrymore and her husband Will Kopelman are expecting their second child, according to her rep. There's no word how far along she is, but she was photographed with a little bit of a bump on Sunday. Drew and Will have a 13-month-old daughter named Olive. Drew is 38 years old.
You're going to hear her roar, all right. Katy Perry dethroned Justin Bieber as the most popular person on Twitter over the weekend. The "Roar" singer amassed 46.48 million followers, edging out her pop peer, who has 46.47 million followers. Bieber took the top spot nine months ago, ending Lady Gaga's two-year reign. Perry is also beating the 19-year-old "Boyfriend" singer on Facebook, boasting 59.26 million friends to Bieber's 57.28 million.
Just weeks ago, Perry shared her social media strategy. "I have horrible typos. I use 'there' or 'your' wrong grammatically," she told USA Todayon Oct. 21. "But I feel like I've learned how to tame that social media dragon." "When you decide to have a glass of wine, put the phone down," she advised. "Don't drink and tweet."
Perry argued that famous people shouldn't use social media to debunk rumors on the regular. "I see a lot of celebrities send out messages like that online, and I think, 'Sweetheart, nobody knows about this so-called issue because we don't have you on Google Alert. You're just throwing another log on the fire.' I do it only in extreme cases if someone is jeopardizing my character," she said. The "Walking on Air" singer added that she ignores her online haters. "I don't know they exist because I don't give them attention," she said. "If you tried to please everyone, you'd have no sense of self. You'd lose yourself in the process of being a people-pleaser and there'd be nothing unique left."
Can the world handle two Simon Cowells? Fans may soon find out. In a new interview with Extra's Terri Seymour (who just happens to be his ex-girlfriend), the British X Factor judge revealed that he'd like to pass on his name, among other things, to the baby son he's expecting with girlfriend Lauren Silverman. "My number one choice is Simon because I like the name," he told Seymour of what he and Silverman plan to call their little bundle of joy. And his second choice? Eric, after his dad. "His birthday is going to be very close to my dad's birthday," Cowell explained of his baby-to-be, noting that his late father would be "very proud" and "amazed" to have a grandson.
Marie Osmond was on "The Talk" yesterday, and she told them she doesn't get all the fuss about women with big breasts. In fact hers were so big that she had breast reduction surgery in her 20s. (The funny thing is, she did "The Sound of Music" before she got the surgery, and everyone on the production just kept talking about how "the hills are alive.")
Brooke Mueller is on the attack ... gunning for Charlie Sheen, who called her a whore, drug addict and terrible parent. If she gets her way Charlie could end up in jail. We just received a subpoena from Brooke's lawyers, ordering us to preserve the video and audio interviews we did with Charlie last Friday. Where to begin. Charlie said Brooke has damaged their twins emotionally, to the point they're on the verge of getting kicked out of school. He says every time the kids visit with Brooke, they come home completely freaked out and suffer from night terrors. Our sources say Brooke's lawyers will go to court with our video and audio and argue Charlie has violated the gag order and should be punished -- possibly with jail -- and have his visitation curtailed.
Charlie told us the L.A. County Dept. of Children and Family Services cares more about protecting and rehabilitating Brooke than protecting the twins. He also calls the judge in the case "The Dishonorable Judge Douchebag." Charlie also called him fat.
Amanda Bynes will be home in her own bed by Christmas. Sources connected with her treatment say Amanda's meds and psychological counseling have sufficiently stabilized her so her doctors will let her leave the Malibu rehab facility where she's been held since September. Amanda was released from the UCLA psych ward and went to the rehab facility because the psych ward was freaking her out and preventing her from improving. Doctors will release Amanda to her mom, who will then take her to the family house and provide supervision. The move will take place sometime next month. We're told -- aside from the fact that the meds and therapy appear to be working -- doctors are concerned that Amanda is going stir crazy. She's not allowed to go outside because paparazzi are hanging out at the facility and the staff is worried if Amanda is around other patients and pictures are taken, it will compromise the others. Calls to Amanda's parents' attorney, Tamar Arminak, were not returned.
For some reason, someone took various clips of David Hasselhoff, and edited them together so he sounds like he's singing the theme to "The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air."
Celine Dion was talking about Miley Cyrus in a recent interview, and she tried to explain Miley's problems by saying, quote, "Hannah Montana got tired to be Hannah Montana." And because she has a French accent, someone thought that was funny enough to loop it about a hundred times in a row.
Cher was the musical guest on "Dancing With the Stars" last night. She sang "I Hope You Find It". She looked fantastic but sounded... not fantastic.
Jimmy Fallon joked last night about the guys who just broke the record for the fastest cross-country drive ever in the United States. He says the car had three gas tanks, and a bunch of Mountain Dew bottles that you should NOT drink from.
An upcoming episode of "How I Met Your Mother" will feature one big RHYME. Cobie Smulders says, quote, "We just shot an episode where the entire thing is in rhyme. And it was so much fun. It's like every second line is a rhyme . “The writers just nailed it . . . It's so fun and they just made it so funny, but so lyrical at the same time." There's no airdate yet.
