and Al Roker
got their prostate exams yesterday on the "Today" show. They did the exams behind closed doors, so no one had to see what they didn't want to see. They both said it wasn't a big deal. For Matt it only took 34 seconds. His prostate turned out to be totally healthy. Roker's was enlarged, so the doctor will monitor it.
apologized yesterday on "The Talk", for insulting everyone on "The View" except for Barbara Walters. This week in an interview she said she loved Barbara, but the rest of them could go eff themselves. Yesterday she said she was only trying to be funny, and didn't really mean it.
Sources say Lamar Odom
and Khloe Kardashian
have been spending a lot more time together lately, and things are going pretty well. Lamar was even at Kris Jenner's birthday party Tuesday and a witness says they were, quote, "getting on very well and were couple-y together." Meanwhile, Khloe is denying new reports that she and Lamar are selling their house. She Tweeted, quote, "If you want to make up stories that I'm selling my home at least use images AFTER I renovated it. LOL I can't stand those horrendous old images." On the other hand . . . The paparazzi caught up to Lamar and asked him how things are going with Khloe, and he didn't answer. He just kind of grinned . . . which some people are taking as a bad sign.
We can count Jennifer Lawrence
among the many teen girls who was at one time, or still is, infatuated with Justin Timberlake. While promoting Catching Fire, the 23-year-old starlet participated in a Tumblr Q&A at Yahoo Headquarters on Wednesday. When asked about who she liked like that back in the day, the Hunger Games actress admitted that she had a thing for a certain boybander. "My teen crush [was] Justin Timberlake," J. Law, who was sporting her new pixie cut, told the audience to some laughs. "Early 90s Justin Timberlake though. Like 'N Sync Justin Timberlake."
is breaking free from her past -- or, more precisely, her hair's past. The Baywatch alum, 46, made headlines last week when she chopped off her trademark blonde tresses into a chic pixie cut. Now, in a new interview with Ellen DeGeneres, she's revealed that the dramatic new 'do is symbolic of a new start, too. "I stole your haircut!" the ex-Playboy cover girl joked in an episode of DeGeneres' show airing Thursday, Nov. 7. Asked about the reason behind the change, Anderson replied, "I just thought, you know, my hair had had a life. And I wanted to kind of put that behind me and start fresh. And I thought it'd be good for the marathon. And it was." As previously reported, the buxom blonde ran her first-ever New York City Marathon on Sunday, Nov. 3, finishing the 26.2-mile race in 5 hours and 41 minutes.
This is absolutely TRAGIC, but not unexpected: At 27 years of age, Mary-Kate
and Ashley Olsen
are insanely rich, and they have no plans to return to acting. Sure, the foundation of their zillion-dollar empire is the acting they did when they were kids. But these days they're making bank with their clothing and fragrance lines. In an interview with "Women's Wear Daily", Ashley said, quote, "We have a video catalogue of everything we did when we were younger, so we're looking at distribution for that now. "That's not being in show business, but it's been fun talking to these people we used to be in business with many, many years ago. But the industries are completely different." And Mary-Kate added, quote, "We still feel welcome in the [entertainment] industry. But it's not the one we're in."
has once again stepped in a bit of trouble while on his wild world tour. Following a bad trip to the U.K. in March and controversy in Amsterdam in April, the singer is in Brazil, where police are charging him for "defacing a building or urban monument by graffiti or other means," according to a statement from cops in Rio de Janeiro. Bieber, 19, apparently had permission from the city to paint on a graffiti wall in Rio's Olympic Village, the Morro do Vidigal. But according to RollingStone dot com, he chose to tag a wall on a nearby hotel to avoid his local fans. "Authorization granted by the city did not extend to other locations," the statement from police says. The punishment for defacing a building in Brazil could be a fine or up to one year in prison, though police called the pop star's graffiti a minor offense. A rep for Bieber did not respond to requests for comment. But a source close to the singer apparently wasn't worried about a crime being committed. "It isn't illegal to spray paint on public walls in Brazil," the source tells PEOPLE. "He isn't being investigated." Adds a second source, "It must have been some misunderstanding. He was lead to believe it was fine."
The cast of "Arrested Development"
was on "Inside the Actors Studio" last night. And Portia de Rossi told the story of how she picked her stage name. If you didn't know, her real name is Amanda Lee Rogers. She says she picked "Portia de Rossi" when she was 14 years old. She got the "Portia" from a character in Shakespeare's "The Merchant of Venice", and she got the "de Rossi" because she saw it in the end credits of a movie and thought it sounded good.
And here is an idea for Emily... Kaley Cuoco
was on the Ellen Show yesterday and her fiancé, tennis player Ryan Sweeting was backstage hanging out… Ellen ambushed them and had a producer, who was ordained, marry the couple. Pop up wedding!
