Kim says her reputation has been damaged and wants at least $200,000 to make it better. Harrison Ford was interviewed by Terri Seymour from "Extra," and she asked him a bunch of rapid fire questions about himself. And he wasn't very into the interview in the first place.
This is what makes Jay-Z brilliant. Using the inspiration behind the Occupy Wall Street movement, his clothing line, Rocawear, came up with a brilliant t-shirt that read, "Occupy All Streets"... The rub and the down fall of the shirt however, was complaints that the company wasn't going to donate any of the profits to the OWS movement. (And why should he?) Jay-Z got so much heat from some in the movement that he's pulled the shirt from online sales. Jay-Z had been photographed earlier in the week at the OWS protests wearing one of the shirts. Neither Jay-Z nor Rocawear has issued an official statement.

An expert said the "pieces of eight Spanish gold" date anywhere between the 16th and 19th century. An appraisal expert valued the collection at around $500,000.

There's been an ongoing battle for years as to who created the TV show, "So You Think You Can Dance". John Cassese, who calls himself the "Dance Doctor" filed the lawsuit six years ago, claiming that he and his writing partners registered a concept entitled "So You Think You Can Dance". The registration described a 60-minute elimination-style contest where dancers competed by being forced to master unfamiliar dance styles, paired with others, and wore elaborate costumes in front of live audiences. The show was shopped to various networks, but nothing came of it. As we know now, the show is very popular and the lawsuit has been ongoing all this time. Fox Broadcasting, 19 Entertainment and Dick Clark Productions finally settled the lawsuit just days before the suit was to come to trial today. Details to how much the settlement was, haven't been revealed.

Terrell Owens just lost a whopping $56 grand in a real estate deal. Owens bought a 2,600 square foot condo in Dallas back in 2006 after he signed a $25 million dollar contract with the Cowboys. But since he doesn't play for Dallas any more, he put the place up for sale. Unfortunately, the real estate market is still in shambles and he unloaded it for $56,000 less than he paid for it back in the day. Owens, who claims he's not making any money these days, is also trying to get his child support payments lowered. But at least he got rid of those condo payments...

Kim Kardashian's ex PR person says that Kim stages everything she does. Jonathan Jaxson, Kardashian's publicist from 2007-09, went on a syndicated radio program Thursday to explain how unreal everything in Kardashian's life really is. Jaxson says he himself was responsible for the time that Kim led the press to believe she and Reggie Bush were getting engaged as they walked out of a jewelry store. Jaxson adds that this kind of behavior is what drove a wedge between Kim and the NFL running back. "He was totally unaware of these type of antics," Jaxson says. "And when he finally got wind of it through some other people, he chose not to be in this relationship."

Multiple sources connected with the Penn State football team say coaches held a meeting with players and told them their friends and family should show support for ousted coach Joe Paterno by wearing white to the game on Saturday. Maybe people should do a little research before shooting off their mouths...or their iPhone keyboards. Ashton Kutcher found himself in hot water with his twitter followers after being outraged in a tweet about the firing of Penn State's Joe Paterno. Ashton didn't know the whole story thinking it was a football thing, not that the legendary coach was being fired for covering up an alleged sex abuse scandal... After several attempts to apologize, Kutcher eventually pledged to stop tweeting "until I find a way to properly manage this feed. I feel awful about this error. Won't happen again."

The bed that Michael Jackson was in when he died is coming up for auction next month. (The linens have been changed) The queen-size bed is just one of the many items from the Holmby Hills home where MJ died that will be included in a Julien's Auctions event next month. Other items included in the auction are a mirror from Jackson's "inner sanctum" a private bedroom in the home where NO ONE else was allowed to enter. A rep for Julien's says the mirror contains an inspirational message Jackson scribbled on the piece for himself regarding his This Is it concert tour which says, "TRAIN, perfection, March April. FULL OUT May." The auction is scheduled to take place on December 17th.
After six years, Piers Morgan is leaving as a judge on "America's Got Talent" so he can focus on his CNN show, "Piers Morgan Tonight." A few years ago we called them "station wagons," but I suppose that conjures up too many visions of wood paneling down the side, a mom with a beehive hairdo behind the wheel, and 55-cent-per-gallon gas. Oh, wait, there's nothing wrong with that last one! Ah, but now we're in the enlightened 21st Century, and that means we call them "crossovers." Okay, I'm game.
Chevy's small crossover entry is the Equinox, which finds itself in competition with a couple of steady performers in the Honda CR-V and the Rav4 from Toyota. In some respects the Equinox holds its own, while in other areas it comes up a little short. Overall, it's a pretty good value for the value looking to get decent performance without breaking the bank.
First, let's address the passenger room, because that's what you're SUPPOSED to get in a crossover. Interestingly enough, this is an area where Chevy has the other guys beat. The back seat slides back, allowing your guests to stretch out comfortably. As a bonus, those rear seats also recline.
On the flip side, the Equinox trails the aforementioned CR-V and Rav4 in cargo space. Now, that might be an issue for some people, but probably not a deal-breaker for most.
It's not a bad little car to look at, either. Check out the picture. You'll find three trim levels to choose from, beginning with the LS. There's also the LT and the LTZ (which I drove for a week). The standard power plant is a 4-cylinder with about 182 horses. Or, you can step up to the V6, which bumps the horsepower into the 264 range. As you'd expect, you get the better mileage out of the 4-cylinder, but the V6 delivers better power and towing capacity. Take your pick.
The Equinox is a front-wheel-drive vehicle, but you do get an option for all-wheel-drive. Performance and handling were average; neither will blow you away, but it's adequate.
I'm a stickler for interior storage space, and this particular crossover had a decent amount. Let's put it this way: I had a place for all my stuff.
Mileage for my V-6 LTZ clocked in at around 17/24, and the standard vehicle price hovered around $29k. With a few options (upgraded to the V-6, 18-inch wheels, Nav system, and collision alert) the total snuck up to around $33,500. Shop around at your dealer, because an entry-level Equinox can start in the low 20s.
If you need luxury and top-of-the-line performance, you'll likely look elsewhere. But, if you're looking for good, steady performance at a good price, it's worth the time to test-drive this Chevy crossover.
It took the jury only 8 hours to come to the concensus to convict Dr. Conrad Murray for involuntary manslaughter of Michael Jackson. The jury of seven men and five women sat through 49 witnesses and 23 days of testimony before rendering their decision yesterday afternoon. Jackson died June 25, 2009 from an overdose of the surgical anesthetic Propofol combined with Lorazepam and Midazolam. Murray was just handcuffed in court after the judge remanded him into custody. He will remain in jail until his sentencing. His sentencing is scheduled for Nov. 29, 2011. Murray could face up to four years in prison and lose his medical license. The doc will get his own cell in L.A. County jail as well as an escort whenever he moves. Dr. Murray's defense team, J. Michael Flanagan, claims there are already plans to appeal Monday's "guilty" verdict. Flanagan says he's still "very disappointed" in the decision.
Michael Jackson's siblings commented on the verdict outside the courtroom. Jermaine said justice was served, Janet said she was happy, and La Toya said Michael was in the courtroom yesterday.
Conan O'Brien commented on the Herman Cain story. He talked about how Cain's fourth accuser said he tried to exchange sex for a job. Conan said Cain at least has a "plan to put people back to work."
The first thing Herman Cain told Jimmy Kimmel was that he didn't know beforehand that a fourth woman was coming forward. And his day started off kind of rough.
Jimmy Kimmel talked about the Herman Cain fiasco, and said Gloria Allred seems oddly prepared for this type of thing.
The top five competed on "Dancing with the Stars" last night, and it looks like Nancy Grace might get cut this week. Her second dance got 20 points, which was the low score of the night. And Len told her, quote, "It's time to go home."
J.R. Martinez got the first perfect score of the season last night . . . and the second. His first dance was a waltz, and it got a perfect 30 and his jive got the same score..
Lindsay Lohan's Playboy shoot will have her gracing the cover of the January-February 2012 issue. According to her rep, "The pictorial is absolutely fantastic and very tasteful, and will be accompanied by an interview that will
let readers see another side of Lindsay."
In the meantime, Lindsay Lohan checked into a Lynwood jail Sunday night for a 30-day sentence, but served only four hours due to prison overcrowding. So that's that. It's Lohan's fifth jail sentence from two drunk driving arrests in 2007.
Kelly Osbourne was taken to the hospital in Miami when she fainted twice after hitting her head while dancing at a club over the weekend. According to her mom, Sharon, Kelly, a former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant, was dancing at a club when a guy takes her to dip and as he dips her, her head smacks into an amplifier and split her head open. Kelly received stitches and was told she had a concussion, Sharon said. She's now back in Los Angeles recovering.

He will keep the women of Chatswin spiritual and "He's also great in bed."... Valderrama's episode will air early next year.

THE TEN MOST OVERPAID ACTORS IN HOLLYWOOD
Forbes magazine has released its annual list of stars who provide the least bang for the bucks they earn. Number one is Drew Barrymore, who according to Forbes only offered a return of 40 cents for every dollar she was paid for her recent starring roles.
To qualify for the list, actors had to have starred in at least three movies that opened in 500 theaters or more in the past five years. Animated movies aren't counted -- Forbes reasons that the stars aren't really the draw for those films, so the "Shrek" franchise can't boost Murphy's ranking -- and supporting roles and ensemble pieces are tossed out as well. Thus "He's Just Not That Into You," in which Barrymore was part of a big cast of well-known actors (and which made better than $180 million), doesn't count.
1. Drew Barrymore, 40 cents return for every $1 earned
2. Eddie Murphy, $2.70
3. Will Ferrell, $3.50
4. Reese Witherspoon, $3.55
5. Denzel Washington, $4.25
6. Nicolas Cage, $4.40
7. Adam Sandler, $5.20
7 (tie). Vince Vaughn, $5.20
9. Tom Cruise, $6.35
10. Nicole Kidman, $6.70

I think it's interesting that some people equate the brand name Lexus with only upper-crust, fabulously wealthy patrons, who valet park everywhere and send their clothes out for laundry. Well, I've got a news flash for those folks: Lexus now has five - count 'em, five - different hybrid models, including THIS particular entry which leads the compact segment in fuel efficiency.
And its base price is below $30k. Got your attention?
The CT 200h debuted in 2011, the first year for the 4-door hatchback. Despite the color (hey, at least I'm honest...guys don't usually jump at the chance to cruise around in a yellow car), I was anxious to put the CT through its paces to see how it held up with other smaller hybrids.
One of the first things I noticed was the lack of acceleration. In a way it's a trade-off for that eye-popping mileage (40mpg in the city, 43 in the fast lane). The car sports the same power train as the Toyota Prius, but the Prius actually seemed to have a bit more get up and go when the light turned green. Once the CT finally gets up to speed, however, it's a different story.
The designers at Lexus focused on producing a hybrid that offered a superior overall ride, and there they hit the mark. Although the Eco setting on the car doesn't necessarily give you thrills, adjust the setting to Sport and the performance kicks it up a notch. True, you're only dealing with about 134 horsepower out of its combo gas/dual-electric powerplant, but it's the handling that impresses. It's quite good. Lexus souped up the suspension, and it shows.
A couple of different trim choices are available for you with the model, either the base or premium. The interior doesn't resemble the luxury you'll find in other Lexus vehicles, but it's still above average. If I had to knock off points, it would be for the lack of convenient interior storage, one of my must-haves for a car. Options are packaged, as usual. I drove the Premium model with the audio package and leather package, which together added about $2400 to the total sticker price.
Kudos to the folks at Lexus for their wide array of hybrid choices. If you've been waiting for the day you could afford a Lexus, this should be on your radar. And, with the mileage of the hybrid, some of the money you've been spending on gas could go toward a little more fun. The CT 200h is worthy of a look.

The case against the doctor accused of killing Michael Jackson has gone to the jury, with deliberations set to begin today. The seven-man, five-woman panel got the case Thursday after daylong closing arguments by a prosecutor and defense attorney. The defense told jurors that Michael Jackson caused his own death "They want you to convict Dr. Conrad Murray for the actions of Michael Jackson," the lawyer said. Prosecution Attorney David Walgren projected images of Jackson's grief-stricken children on a giant screen and told jurors that Murray took away their father. Jackson's mother and siblings watched from the courtroom gallery. The prosecutor repeatedly called Murray's treatment of Jackson bizarre and said there was no precedent for the cardiologist giving Michael the powerful anesthetic to help him sleep. After recapping all the evidence the prosecution presented, Walgren ended the closing by saying, "Conrad Murray is criminally liable," he said. "Justice demands a guilty verdict."

Lindsay Lohan admitted in court yesterday that she violated her probation by getting booted from her community service at a Los Angeles women's shelter. And she was slapped with a 30-DAY jail sentence. Judge Stephanie Sautner told Lindsay she COULD end up with 300 days behind bars. She's on a strict schedule of community service deadlines and therapy appointments over the next several months. If she sticks to it, her sentence remains 30 days.
Sheriff's spokesperson Steve Whitmore confirmed to TMZ that Lindsay will get in and out of jail quickly, adding the only reason there might be any sort of delay is if there are lots of other inmates who are being processed out at the same time. Misdemeanor inmates only serve 20% of the actual sentence because of overcrowding. But the 2 officials talking with TMZ on Wednesday said that because of overcrowding they immediately release inmates sentenced to less than 90 days. I'm torn when it comes to spy/thriller novels, because I enjoy the action and the (sometimes) interesting plot twists. But, in my opinion, the writing is often cheesy and lame. Or the same story line has been done to death. Or the characters are just a little too similar to either Clint Eastwood or Bruce Willis.
I was pleasantly surprised by The Tourist. Olen Steinhauer created an interesting "hero," if that's what you wanna call the killer hired by the government. At the beginning of the story, Milo Weaver is shot by a bad guy that he's chasing, and it all snowballs from there.
In the course of the novel you're treated to Milo's back-story, and his attempts to live a "normal" life with his wife and her little girl. But then things really fall apart, and Milo must run for his life. It seems that forces are intent on charging him with the murder of a notorious assassin. Not only that, but one of Milo's best friends, a fellow spy, has been accused of being a double agent. And then…
Well, I don't want to give too much away. Just pick up the book if you're in the mood for a good spy thriller. Steinhauer's writing is crisp and fast-paced, and he does a good job of creating a sympathetic figure out of Milo. I would love to read another of his adventures, should the author consent to write it.
Find your own of The Tourist at all three locations of The Tattered Cover in the Denver metro area, and you'll save 20 percent during the month of November.

So Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from husband, Kris Humphries on Halloween. That comes just 72 days after the couple was married in an extravagant, televised, $10 million dollar wedding. Kardashian cited irreconcilable differences on the papers, but many are realizing what they thought in the first place, that this wedding was just a business proposition and another chapter for the Kardashian reality show. The ink on the divorce papers will be long dry before the premiere of the new season of "Kourtney & Kim Take New York," that portray Kardashian and Humphries as newlyweds. In a statement to E! News, Kim said, "This was not an easy decision. I had hoped this marriage was forever, but sometimes things don't work out as planned. We remain friends and wish each other the best."
The couple have a prenup and Kim is asking the court to deny spousal support to Humphries. Kim was not happy that the NBA star, currently not working because of the lockout, has been reportedly partying up a storm with his wife's money. Sources close to the couple say that Kris did not "drink the Kardashian Kool-Aid" and that attitude was a sticking point.
Days before Kardashian's 31st birthday, the newlyweds "had it out!" says a family friend. "She told him he needs to do something productive. The work ethic in that family really means something. He needs to get off his ass, like, yesterday."
Kris Humphries says he loves his wife and was blindsided by the news of the divorce and will do anything to keep her. Kris said he is devastated and is committed to the marriage.

DR. CONRAD MURRAY TRIAL...
It was all out war on Monday as the prosecution grilled a defense witness at the manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray. An expert witness on propofol, put on the stand by the defense was held in contempt of court and fined $1,000 after he kept mentioning his private conversations with Dr. Murray. It was the second time the witness, Dr. Paul White, has been charged with contempt. The first time was October 21st, when the judge overheard the witness calling a member of the prosecution team a profanity.
The sanction was ordered after an intense interchange between White and lead prosecutor David Walgren. White conceded that it was unheard of for Murray to administer propofol in a home setting, that Murray lacked sufficient monitoring equipment for administering an anesthetic, that Murray failed to write notes about his treatment of Jackson, and that Murray should have called 911 sooner.
Later in the morning, White testified that he had additional information to share with the jury but the judge told him he couldn't, which the judge has interpreted as a further violation.

Michael Lohan appeared in court over the weekend after he violated a restraining order, and then tried to escape police. Michael's ex-girlfriend, Kate Major, testified that he wouldn't stop calling her. So the judge chewed him out after he claimed Kate called HIM, and said that even if Kate did call him, he shouldn't have answered his phone.
Michael Lohan will have some time to recover from jumping from the roof of a motel earlier in the week. He'll just have to do it in jail. A judge in Hillsborough County, Fla., denied bail to Lindsay Lohan's dad in a hearing Saturday morning. He was arrested twice last week all stemming from a domestic violence case involving his girlfriend, Kate Major. Major attended his bail hearing on Friday and when Judge Denise Pomponio asked her if she thought Lohan posed a threat to her, she answered, "absolutely."
In the meantime, Lohan is on the hook for child support to a kid in Montana he allegedly fathered. A warrant was issued last November when he allegedly fell behind on payments, and according to records that warrant is still outstanding.A rep for the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office told TMZ Lohan will be arrested on sight if he shows up in NYC, Nassau County or Suffolk County.

The return of "Beavis and Butt-head" returned to MTV last Thursday to a pretty good-sized audience. It drew 3.3 million viewers, and about two-thirds of them were young men, which advertisers love because they're considered a hard-to-reach demographic. MTV says "Beavis and Butt-head" is now its No. 2 series among guys under 35, behind "Jersey Shore."

RadarOnline is reporting that a former film editor for "Jon & Kate Plus 8" has been charged with 10 counts of sex exploitation of a minor. William Blankinship, 56, was arrested on October 21st in North Carolina as part of the State Bureau of Investigation sting known as "Operation Spyglass." Twenty-four men were given felony charges for the possession and distribution of child pornography and/or sexual acts with a minor. Blankenship worked on four of TLC's top-rated family shows featuring children, including "Jon & Kate Plus 8, Kate Plus 8", "17 Kids and Counting" and "Table for 12". William was never directly employed by TLC, but was a subcontractor from the production company Figure 8 Films who say they have fired him and that he was never directly involved with any of the talent in any of the productions. No bond was issued and that means he will be held until convicted and sentenced. Ironically, in 2009 Jon Gosselin expressed his distaste for having his children on the reality-TV show saying, "I put my kids out there to every pedophile on the planet and they never got paid for it."
Hilary Swank, who caught some backlash for appearing at the birthday party for a murdering warlord is reportedly firing the people who put her in that position. Swank attended a concert in Chechnya for president Ramzan Kadyrov on October 5th and immediately took heat from human rights groups. The groups said they had warned the actress before she left for the celebration, but decided to appear anyway. Swank apologized, but reportedly fired her manager, Jason Weinberg.
Kim Kardashian channeled her inner villainess at club Lavo in New York on Saturday night. She wore a green bodysuit and red wig and went as Batman villan, Poison Ivy. Kardashian's husband of nine weeks, pro basketball player Kris Humphries, was not at her side.

Hicks was arrested last week. It's not known how much money Kris says he was swindled out of. He is working with law enforcement authorities and will not comment until the situation is solved, says the report.

Lindsay Lohan's father Michael Lohan Sr. seems to be spinning more out of control than his wayward daughter. Lohan was arrested earlier this week for a domestic violence dispute with his girlfriend, Kate Major. He was taken to the hospital afterward with chest pains, but he tried to escape. Just 12 hours after Lohan got out of jail, TMZ is reporting that Lindsay's dad is back in jail for violating his restraining order by calling Kate. He even called her while law enforcement officers were at her home investigating her complaints. Police went to Lohan's motel to arrest him but in an effort to escape, he jumped off the 3rd story balcony and fell 34 feet into a tree where he tried to hide. Again, officers had to take him to the hospital to address a foot injury before carting him off to jail.
"Extra" caught up with Lindsay Lohan, who looked and sounded as rough as usual. And she claimed she's at a point in her life where she enjoys the routine of waking up at 7 a.m. and working out . . . which is total nonsense.

Cher called in to Anderson Cooper's show on Thursday to say that the "Dancing With The Stars" judges were very rude to her son, Chaz Bono. Chaz was on the show talking about being the first transgender person on DWTS. The controversy grows out of a comment made by the show's judge, Bruno Tonioli, who likened him to a "fluffy penguin". Cher says she was really upset that night, not because Chaz got voted off, but because the judges were so disrespectful. When asked by Anderson whether she had trouble accepting Chaz's decision to become a man, she said... "S--t, yes, As a mom, you have a child and then all of a sudden, you have a different child, but you have the same child. So it's very hard to kind of twist your mind around to the adjustment. But then when you look at it, and you're around your child, you just think, 'Oh, no difference.' Same child, different wrapping." The episode of "Anderson" featuring Chaz and Cher is scheduled to air next Tuesday.

Most of the contestants on "Dancing With The Stars" are not happy with Kim Kardashian. Kim, who is there with the rest of her family watching her brother Rob compete, sent out a fake tweet in an effort to get Rob more votes. On Monday she wrote to her 10.7 million followers: "OMG I have @JustinBieber's phone#!!!! 800 8684302! CALL HIM! He's taking calls for the next hour!!!" but that number was the line to vote for her brother on DWTS. When fans discovered what was happening, they called Kim "lame" and accused her of cheating for her brother. RadarOnline is reporting that some of the contestants think that Rob should be disqualified for having his family cheat like that for him.

He also complained about the gender divide between how overweight men and overweight women are treated on the show citing the positive responses from the judges to Kirstie Alley, 60 who danced on the show last season. Bono revealed the competition had strengthened his relationship with his superstar mother, Cher. Chaz says he would love to do Broadway theater next.
Justin Bieber narrowly dodged the cold hammer of justice this week ... TMZ has learned -- getting off with just a warning after cops pulled the 17-year-old over in his Batman-themed Cadillac. DR. CONRAD MURRAY TRIAL
Five former heart patients of Michael Jackson's $150,000-a-month personal doctor
praised him at his homicide trial Wednesday as capable, caring and anything but
greedy. Prosecutors tried to show that the witnesses were biased and that
Murray's care of Jackson was far lower in quality than how he treated them.
The former patients said Murray had performed operations on them, installing
stents to open blocked heart arteries and counseled them through years of
"thorough" follow-up visits. The patients described Murray as being caring and
a great guy, saying that he made you feel like he cared. Several said that
Murray didn't even charge them for his services.
None of the patients said they had been treated for a sleep disorder that
involved a "drug dependency issue," as Murray had treated Jackson.
Prosecutors established that during an operation on when of the witnesses, there
had been four health care professionals there with sophisticated monitoring
equipment unlike the scene in Jackson's bedroom where doctor and patient were
alone with minimal equipment.
One of the witnesses claimed that Dr. Murray was his very best friend and would
still be testifying in the doctor's defense even if he knew Murray was guilty
of causing the death of Michael Jackson.
Prosecution got the witnesses to admit that Dr. Murray had never given them
propofol in their bedrooms.
The defense is expected to wrap up testimony today.
The lawyers didn't mention Murray as a witness.
The case could reach the jury of seven men and five women early next week.
I wasn't going to post a link to this story...until I saw the picture. A guy in Maine is the first documented Honda owner to log one million miles on his car (a 1990 Accord), so he was treated to a parade, with high school marching bands and cheerleaders.
3 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
4 red potatoes, peeled and cut into 1/2 inch chunks
1/4 cup butter
1/2 onion, chopped
3 cloves garlic, coarsely chopped
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups milk
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons seasoned salt
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon celery salt
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
chives for garnish (optional)
Preheat a large slow cooker by turning it to the High setting and covering with the lid.
Place the cut-up potatoes in a microwave safe bowl, and microwave on High for about 8 minutes, until the potatoes are cooked and steaming hot.
While the potatoes are cooking, place the butter in the preheated slow cooker, and cook and stir the onions and garlic for about 5 minutes, until the onions turn golden. Stir in 1/2 cup of milk, and whisk in the flour until smooth. Gradually whisk in the remaining 3 cups of milk, and let the mixture come to a simmer in the slow cooker. Simmer for about 10 minutes, until the soup begins to thicken.
Stir in the hot cooked potatoes, crumbled bacon, sour cream, Cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, seasoned salt, parsley, red pepper flakes, celery salt, and dried basil. Stir to mix the soup well, reduce the slow cooker setting to Low, cover, and cook for 3 hours, stirring occasionally.

I once drove a limo for some radio contest winners. They sat in the back on the way to a concert, and I played the part of the chauffer, occasionally glancing into the rear view mirror, just like they do in the movies. Well, I just experienced deja vu while crusing around town in the new XJL from Jaguar. Only this time, when I peeked in the mirror, there wasn't anyone in the back seat.
I kid, but this particular entry in the Jag family does give you a "hired car" feel for a couple of reasons. First, it's got elegant stamped all over it, under it, and inside it. Plus, it's long. Wait; I should say it like this: It's loooonnnnngggggg. With its stretched look and feel, it almost appears to be flying down the highway while it's parked in your driveway.
And it's not just an optical illusion; the XJL has physically expanded the leg room, to the point that backseat passengers (with an extra five inches of room) probably DO feel like they're being chauffered around. Quick, someone find me a little black hat to wear behind the wheel.
Jaguar has a reputation to uphold when it comes to luxury and elegance, and this entry doesn't disappoint. The seats - all of them - ooze with comfort, whether it's from the 20-way power moves of the front seats, to the real leather that envelopes you, to the massage feature. Yes, massage.
And if you can't appreciate a car with a pop-up shifter, you're obviously not a James Bond fan. Or Dr. Phibes. Wasn't he the scary dude who rose up from beneath the floor, playing the pipe organ? THAT'S what Jaguar needs to add: dramatic music as the shifter levitates up out of the console.
Under the hood, the XJL rolls out with a V8 that creates 385 horsepower. Of course, if you need a little more you can opt for the 470 hp Supercharged version. And if you're a power hog, why not order the Supersport, which slams you back into your seat with 510 horses. With its lighter aluminum body, this car's power plant threatens to get it airborn.
Loaded with top-of-the-line standard choices (xenon, smartkey keyless, virtual instrument panel - which is cool -, blind spot monitor, and the oh-so-awesome panoramic roof), the test version I drove had added a mere $875 worth of options. One of those is the heated front windshield, which some have dissed for the weird optical effects it causes during night driving. But in Colorado, it might be a terrific feature to check out.
You could compare this gorgeous luxury sedan with Audi's A8 or BMW's 7-series. The sticker on this test car (with the aforementioned options) was a little over $81k, to give you an idea of what sandbox you're playing in.
For smooth performance, ultra plush comfort, and just the right amount of tech goodies (without making itself obnoxious), the Jaguar XJL is a very strong choice for those who are looking to reward themselves for their hard work. Little black hat not included.
Lindsay Lohan is shooting nude photos for Playboy -- TMZ has confirmed -- and LiLo don't strip for peanuts ... the spread will earn her almost a million dollars! Sources tell us the deal has been in the works for months, and that Lindsay balked at an initial $750K offer because she wanted ... ONE MILLION dollars ... to show the world what her momma gave her (apologies for the DiLo reference). We're told Hugh Hefner and Co. recently came back to Lindsay with an offer less than her asking price -- but close enough for her to sign on the dotted line. No word yet on which issue Linds will be featured in ... but it's a good bet she'll be on the cover. Lindsay's rep said, "I can neither confirm or deny at this time." Playboy didn't immediately respond to our email or phone call. According to sources, the shoot started over the weekend -- which means Linds was juggling her court ordered morgue duties ... with getting nekkid.
It came down to Hope Solo and Chaz Bono on "Dancing with the Stars" last night, and Chaz got eliminated. Afterward, he said he did the show because he wanted to show America a, quote, "different kind of man."
They showed a clip from Monday's show, but they didn't air it until last night. It's Chaz Bono flipping out over the judges. He says being an overweight man on the show is different than being an overweight woman. And Bruno constantly talked about him like he's a troll.
Maksim Chmerkovskiy defended the comment he made to Len on Monday's show, when he told him he should retire. Maksim says he's allowed to express his opinion. And he respects everyone else's. Len Goodman saw what Maksim said about not being regretful, but said he thinks Maksim DOES regret what he said. However, Maksim didn't call to apologize.
The "X Factor" judges went after each other on the first live episode last night. The best zingers, included L.A. Reid ripping on Simon for keeping Simone Battle in the competition, and Simon calling Nicole and Paula "spiteful little cats."
Starting next week, "The X Factor" will allow voting via Twitter. Simon Cowell says he's been sold on the social media service and says "It's like having millions of producers working with you." On Tuesday night's episode of "The X Factor" Simon referred to the tweets as he made his final decision of which singers to keep and which ones to send home.
Steven Tyler fell and lost a couple of teeth in a hotel shower on Tuesday while on the road with Aerosmith. The band had to reschedule Tuesday night's concert and Tyler apologized to fans for the inconvenience.

RadarOnline is reporting that Dr. Phil is paying to have the body of Rebecca Zahau exhumed. Rebecca's death was ruled a suicide after her body was found hanged with her hands and feet bound, at her billionaire boyfriend Jonah Shacknai's mansion in San Diego. The death occurred just days after Jonah's six-year-old son Max had an accident in the home, while under Rebecca's care, that turned out to be fatal. Rebecca's family does not believe she committed suicide and have insisted that she was murdered, and now Dr. Phil McGraw is going to have her body exhumed from her grave in Missouri and retested for any more evidence of foul play. He will air the results on his show during the November sweeps season.
Michael Lohan's girlfriend, Kate Major called 911 Monday night saying that Michael threatened to kill her for refusing to perform oral sex on him. The police showed up, cuffed Lohan, who then complained of chest pains. According to TMZ, officers took him to the hospital, where he allegedly tried to escape. Police caught him and immediately took him to the police station to be booked...still in the hospital gown.
Actor James Van Der Beek has announced that he and wife Kimberly Brook are expecting a second child. The couple have a little girl, Olivia, who was born in September of last year.
Tony Romo told a group of Cedar Hill High School students that his wife is pregnant. Romo was talking to the students when someone asked if he had any kids...he replied that no, he didn't but there was one on the way... As the students clapped, Romo, 31, smiled, raised his fist and said, "It'll be fun." Romo and his wife, Candice Crawford, 24, were married on May 28.
I don't even know why anyone cares any more, but Jennifer Aniston is setting the record straight. She is not pregnant and she is not getting engaged any time soon. In fact, Aniston says she's been married once and doesn't know if she'll ever get married again. Aniston, who began dating Justin Theroux, 40, earlier this year adds that the ring she's currently wearing is not of the engagement variety. The actress blames the pregnancy rumors on the fact that she has quit smoking and has gained a few pounds in the process.

DR. MURRAY TRIAL: TUESDAY
Randy Phillips, the concert promoter behind Michael Jackson's "This Is It Tour," told the jury, when AEG Live announced Michael's first 10 shows, sales were through the roof. Phillips said the demand was so high that he personally called Jackson to see if more shows could be added. Michael agreed with two stipulations.
1. He wanted a 16-acre country estate outside of London with streaming rivers

Sources close to LiLo tell TMZ she decided to split with her business anager, Lou Taylor. We're told Lindsay felt Taylor (who also manages Britney Spears) didn't have the time to manage her and Lohan wanted someone who could put more effort into her. According to our sources, Lindsay felt her finances (which were Taylor's responsibility) were beginning to slip through the cracks and word was getting back to her that her balances were not being handled in a timely manner ... in part because Taylor is based in Tennessee. Lohan's rep, Steve Honig, tells TMZ the split was amicable and Lohan and Taylor remain friends.
Calls to Taylor were not returned.

On our radio show the other day we were talking about how much we appreciate it when politicians admit to their mistakes, rather than glossing them over or blaming someone else. Well, hats off to Nissan, then, for manning up when it comes to their Quest minivan. A few years ago they tried a redesign that they hoped would blow everyone's socks off. Uh, that didn't happen.
In fact, when the dust settled, the suits at Nissan decided to go back to the basics. That meant skipping an entire production year (2010), and waiting until 2011 to unveil their latest redesign, a move that signals a departure from the edge. That's right: When it comes to minivans, people SAY they want edgy...but they don't BUY edgy. They buy familiar and comfortable.
So with the 2011 model, you get 16 cup and bottle holders. Seriously, 16.
I'll let that sit there a moment, because although I'm being a bit sarcastic, it does illustrate the kinds of things that matter to people who choose this type of vehicle. The controls have been brought back to a driver-friendly layout, and the bells and whistles that matter most are included.
One knock by some against the Quest is the fact that it's a 7-passenger minivan, while the competition often trots out vans that tote 8. But Nissan gambled that comfort and roominess would win out for a large segment of the buying public, so that's what you get. The second row of seats will accommodate two people, with three piled into the rear. Both the second and third rows fold flat to offer decent cargo space, but, again, less than the competition.
Of the four trim levels available (S, SV, SL, and SE) I drove the SV, and found it to be an average-to-good ride. It's quiet, which is a plus, and the handling is good considering its size and van-like dimensions. I rated the acceleration as average, and the braking as average. The interior is well made, and if you step up to the higher-end models you begin to approach the luxurious neighborhood. Approach, mind you.
The V6 engine will pump out about 260 horses, while Nissan's CVT (continuously variable transmission) delivers a smooth and comfortable ride. I rate it slightly above average.
The SV is base-priced at just under $31k, and with the options I experienced it clocked in just a touch over $32k. Mileage will hover around the 19/24 range, again about average for a minivan.
With its comfort and roominess (not to be confused with cargo space), the Nissan Quest is worth a serious look from families who want a good value and a reliable ride.

Jon Bon Jovi has opened a restaurant in Red Bank, N.J. that allows people who are struggling financially to get a good meal and pay what they can. And if they cannot afford it, they can volunteer at the restaurant. "When I learned that one in six people in this country goes to bed hungry, I thought this was the next phase of the Jon Bon Jovi Soul Foundation's work." The food is healthy, serving up dishes like grilled chicken, salmon and catfish. "This is not a soup kitchen," he says. "You can come here with the dignity of linens and silver, and you're served a healthy, nutritious meal. This is not burgers and fries."
After being removed from court in handcuffs on Wednesday you would think Lindsay Lohan would have learned her lesson about messing with the very specific demands of the court, but not so. The actress was turned away from the L.A. County morgue Thursday morning when she showed up 40 minutes late for her 8:00am appointment. The judge told Lindsay she must complete 16 hours at the morgue as part of her court-assigned community service. The incident will not make judge Stephanie Sautner happy. Lindsay's publicist blames the lateness on the press and not knowing where to go.
in the meantime...
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter thinks Lindsay's excuse for being late is a crock. Winter told reporters there's no way Lindsay was confused about anything because she's been to the Coroner's office before and that the office went out of its way to give the actress specific step-by-step directions on where to go.
and more...
If Lindsay Lohan is sentenced to jail next month, she WILL do time behind bars says L.A. County Sheriff Lee Baca. The sheriff says that no matter what the judge says, overcrowding will not be an issue when it comes to Lindsay. Judge Stephanie Sautner made a comment on the bench Wednesday, suggesting that sentencing Lindsay to jail was futile because it's become a revolving door. But Baca is now giving her assurance to the contrary.

When I told Jane that I was going to be driving the RX350, she laughed, and told me about the family member who can never find her RX in the parking lot. Why? Because there are dozens of them. The family member has to use her car remote to get the car to "beep" where it is.
I thought it was just a funny story...until I went to the grocery store in the Lexus and came out to find three others - same color, even - parked around mine. Sure enough, out came the remote to positively identify the one I was driving for the week. Other than the mistaken identity, it was a terrific experience. Here's what I found after a week behind the wheel.
Let's start by telling it like it is: The RX350 is not going to wow anyone; but then, it's not trying to. Instead, Lexus has created a luxury crossover/SUV that is practical and pleasant to drive...which likely explains why there are so many in the parking lot.
Not many changes this year in the vehicle that Lexus revamped extensively last year. As usual, you'll get a superior, smooth ride. It's quiet, and it's comfortable. Although some people don't want to admit it, there are just certain manufacturers who have perfected the ultra-smooth ride, where the car seems to float about an inch off the pavement. Lexus is one of those car makers.
The interior of the RX keeps its high-quality, well-laid-out design. The fabrics and leather are first-rate, and the controls are - for the most part - intuitive and easy to operate. As for power, you don't get a lot of choices. The 275 horsepower engine is sufficient for the majority of tasks you'll ask the SUV to accomplish. A six-speed automatic is your only choice of transmission, but you don't get to select either front-wheel or all-wheel-drive.
If you're picking out a crossover or SUV, you generally want cargo space, and the RX350 gives you plenty. Now, some folks grumble about the lack of a third-row of seats, but my own personal opinion is: Who the heck wants to sit in that way-back seat? Not me. Besides, if you HAVE to have that third row, there are plenty of options. I'm not sure Lexus feels the need to swim in that pool.
Mileage is...well, so-so; roughly 18/24. As for price, the base sticker on the model I drove came in at about $39k, but the options boosted that to a little over $51k. The good news is that you get a nice array of standard features; the bad news is that the options are mostly bundled into packages.
In the long run, the Lexus RX350 is a terrific luxury crossover/SUV, a practical choice that absolutely pampers you.
It's ridiculous to write an actual review of this masterpiece. Seriously, after fifty years, what more can be said?
Instead, let's look at the book from a different perspective.
A visitor to my house might invariably walk downstairs to my basement, and perhaps down the corridor that leads to a room tucked into the far corner. Although I use the room for a variety of reasons, I often refer to it as my writing room. Sitting at the desk, I've labored over a few hundred thousand words in various manuscripts and articles.
But just before you enter the room you'll find a large, framed poster, an expanded image of a classic book cover sketched by Shirley Smith. Of course it's the cover for Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird," and it's in that spot for a reason: I can't walk into my writing room without glancing at one of the books that made a difference in my life.
And apparently I'm not alone. The Library of Congress conducted a poll that found To Kill a Mockingbird second only to the Bible as the book that "made a difference." More than 30 million copies have been sold, while countless millions of adults recall checking it out in their school library. Few books have captivated our country for as long as Lee's southern tale.
For me it's the pure story-telling, encompassing adult themes such as race relations, class, and the law, yet doing so from a child's perspective. The tale is woven so well that you can read the book over and over again and still find things that eluded you the first time around. In my workshops with young writers I've often used the book as an example, pointing out either its wonderfully complex characters or the ability of the author to imbue the Depression-era town of Maycomb, Alabama with a feeling of character itself.
I've listed the book as one of my all-time favorites since my high school days, and it remains as powerful today. It's possible that you've pledged to read it many times but never followed through; well, I hope this gives you the inspiration to pick it up and see what it's all about.
Plus, as an added bonus, The Denver Center Theatre Company presents a special production of To Kill a Mockingbird, through October 30th, in the Stage Theatre. Tickets can be found at www.DenverCenter.org, or by calling 303-893-4100.

This offer is good for Thursday evening performances through the month of October, subject to availability. Just use the promo code "Mix100" when you buy tickets online, or when calling the box office. Enjoy!
Lindsey Lohan showed up for court on Wednesday rockin' a white Fendi dress, Guiseppe Zanotti shoes and a Chanel purse, but one accessory she didn't have until after court, was those darling wrist bracelets, better known as handcuffs. No nonsense Judge Stephanie Sautner revoked Lindsay Lohan's probation, had her cuffed and set a hearing for November 2, when Lindsay could end up getting as much as a year-and-a-half in jail. The judge said Lindsey was totally responsible for losing her community service at the Downtown Women's Center and thus violated her probation. The Judge also doubted Lindsay attended sessions with her shrink once a week, as her sentence required. Judge Sautner recalled all the screw ups Lindsay has had in her court cases and reminded Lindsey and her lawyer that "Probation is a Gift." Before Lindsay was taken away in cuffs, the judge said Lindsay must complete 16 hours at the morgue before the November 2nd hearing.
While in court, Lohan was also served with a lawsuit for allegedly attacking a Betty Ford staffer during her rehab stint last year. Dawn Bradley filed the lawsuit in July, claiming Lindsay grabbed her wrist and twisted it when she tried to give the actress a breathalyzer last December when the actress was caught sneaking out of the facility and went drinking. Dawn wants at least a million dollars -- claiming she suffered "great mental, physical and nervous pain and suffering" from the alleged assault.
"American Idol" winner Scotty McCreery sang the National Anthem at game one of the World Series last night. He had some technical problems at the beginning, because his mic wasn't on. But they fixed it, and he started over. The rest of it went off without a hitch . . . except for near the end. Instead of "O, say does that star spangled banner yet wave," it sounded like Scotty sang "NO JOSE does that star spangled banner yet wave."
The Star is reporting that the marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries may be circling the drain already...just two months into their marriage. The magazine claims that Kardashian is fed up with Humphries' partying while he is out of a job thanks to the NBA lockout. According to the magazine, "Kim's mapping out 2012, including holidays, and Kris isn't a part of it." Top divorce lawyer, Robert M. Wallack says, despite the reports, he has not met with Kim to discuss any divorce. He wishes the couple a long, healthy and happy marriage.

MJ TRIAL
The prosecution's main expert on Wednesday called Dr. Conrad Murray's treatment of Michael Jackson "egregious," "difficult to comprehend," and "inexcusable." In fact, Dr. Steven Schafer testified to 17 different "unconscionable" ways Murray's treatment could have contributed to the death of the music legend.
Schafer, an anesthesiologist also told the Los Angeles jury that Murray behaved more like an employee who was following Jackson's orders than a doctor whose priority was his patient's health.
Among his claims faulting Jackson's doctor:
*Murray should not have administered the toxic anesthetic and other dangerous drugs in the singer's bedroom without proper monitoring equipment.
*Murray should not have attempted to treat insomnia with propofol.
*Murray failed to keep any kind of medical records.
*Murray should not have left the room without another physician watching Jackson.
*Murray incompetently administered CPR by pushing down with one hand on Jackson's chest, with Jackson still on his bed instead of a hard surface.
*Schafer was particularly indignant that Murray telephoned Jackson's personal assistant and left a voice mail message long before 911 was called.
*The defense is expected to present its witnesses, including its own anesthesia expert, starting on Friday.

This animated flick takes on the classic Shakespeare tale of two star crossed lovers. Instead of humans, theyâre rival garden gnomes. However, since itâs rated G, it doesnât exactly follow the original play.
The entire story is very family friendly. Being inanimate objects makes it easy to cut out scary things like blood and poison. Swords are replaced by lawnmowers. Death scenes are barely existent.Â
Honestly, I was pretty disappointed. The best part was the soundtrack by Elton John. I was frustrated that key characters were cut out. I think the writers wanted to avoid a tragedy so kids wouldnât leave sad or scared. They instead chose to write a comedy, but it just wasnât that funny. If they wanted to change so much, they shouldâve named it something else.
Who to take to this movie: kids who are clueless about âRomeo and Julietâ
Donât see this movie if: you studied Shakespeare

As a 27-year-old young woman, Iâve never cried over Justin Bieber. However, Iâve always liked the kid. Heâs clearly talented. He came out of nowhere and blasted onto the music scene, so I was eager for this movie to come out and see his story. I LOVED IT!
Bieberâs story is really inspiring. He was a small town Canadian boy discovered at age 12 from his YouTube videos. Heâs living his dream at such a young age and makes you wonder whatâs stopping you from following your dreams.Â
The 3D documentary goes back and forth with childhood videos and his sold out Madison Square Garden concert. You watch him grow from a playful kid to an extremely talented teen. The kid can play multiple instruments, including drums, guitar and piano. I was blown away! You see him do everything in the live performances, which were fun to watch. You really felt like you were in the concert. I must now admit that my temperature is rising. Hi, Iâm Tizzy, and I have Bieber Fever.
Who to take to this movie: teen girls
Donât see this movie if: you donât set goals in life

I am a sucker for a Reese's peanut butter cup, which is why I grimaced when I found out that junk food shaves points off of your IQ. I'll tell you about that.
Also, our friends in Japan are going fishing...in space. And you'll be very glad they did.
And although you THINK that video games make you better at certain real-life tasks, it doesn't apply when you get behind the wheel. In fact, you're actually a menace.
All of these stories, and more, when you take this little shortcut right here to another edition of News For Nerds.
There are two types of salesmen: the nice guy and the slime ball. This movie examines both in the world of insurance sales. A big Midwestern convention is taking place in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and Tim Lippe (Ed Helms) gets his big break to represent his company and win the coveted Two Diamond Award.
Tim loves life. He adores his older girlfriend (Sigourney Weaver). Heâs passionate about taking care of his clients. Heâs tickled pink to be working in a small town in Wisconsin. He plays things extremely safe though until he meets some colleagues at the convention who help him break out of his bubble and discover the true Tim Lippe.
This indie comedy made me laugh a lot! It was nice to see Helms in a lead role and hold his own. However, John C. Reilly as the boisterous Dean Ziegler stole the show. Heâs got the best lines and the biggest personality.  Since itâs not a mainstream movie, it took full advantage of using adult comedy and getting away with certain subject matter that would otherwise turn average audiences away. Just be prepared for unflattering nudity, drug use and foul language!
Who to take to this movie: salesmen
Donât see this movie if: you donât like dirty jokes

Normally, lying isnât very funny. It can take you to some pretty ugly places. However, when layered and executed properly in a comedy, the more lies the better! Thatâs the basic premise of this flick starring Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston (along with some pretty awesome cameos).Â
Sandler plays a plastic surgeon who poses as a married guy to get chicks. He meets a beautiful, much younger woman, falls for her, she finds his fake ring, and bam! Heâs got to come up with a divorce story so he can keep this girl around. He turns to his assistant (Aniston) to pose as his wife and use her kids as their family. Things get really crazy though when they take a family trip to Hawaii.
Even though itâs predictable, I enjoyed the movie and was excited to see how the ending played out. The script was funny, and Sandler and Aniston had pretty natural performances. Yes they tend to play the same types of characters, but you know what, theyâre likeable and had great chemistry. Itâs a fun comedy thatâll make you laugh out loud without having to think at all.
Who to take to this movie: a date
Donât see this movie if: you like intellectual humor

Lindsay Lohan pled not guilty to felony theft yesterday and the judge set her bail at $40,000 -- $20,000 on the theft charge and another 20 for a probation violation. He also revoked her probation and said, "You're in a different situation now that a felony has been filed against you. Although people have been courteous, in this court's opinion, in only requesting $20,000 in the probation violation, you now have a pending felony case. If you violate the law, I will remand you and set no bail. You're no different than anyone else, so please don't push your luck, because I'm telling you, things will be different." Lohan was arrested and booked after the court appearance, giving a DNA swab and fingerprints, and then she made bail. ...
The judge presiding over Lindsay Lohan's arraignment ordered her to stay away from the jewelry store where she allegedly swiped the necklace. The folks at Kamofie & Company say they were freaked out when they received flowers, allegedly from Lohan. The law takes a dim view of defendants having contact with their alleged victims. It's a major no-no.
Word has it that one of the deciding factors for the D.A.'s decision to prosecute Lindsay Lohan for felony theft was that mink coat incident a few years ago. As you may recall, a woman accused Lohan of stealing her $12,000 mink coat at a New York City nightclub in 2008. The woman had to sue Lohan to get it back. A year later she was suspected of taking a $400,000 necklace from a magazine photo shoot. Then, last year, she was accused of taking a $35,000 Rolex from a "friend." The D.A. sees a pattern. These will all come up during her trial as well as her two DUIs and the flaunting of her probation conditions.Â
So, after all of this, what was the Monday meeting between the D.A. and Lindsay Lohan's lawyer about? Lohan wanted to take a lie detector test to prove her innocence. The D.A. said such tests weren't reliable enough.Â

Mark Zuckerberg has obtained a restraining order against a man who's been sending him creepy messages through Facebook and threatening his safety. 31-year-old Pradeep Manukonda has gone to several Facebook offices in Palo Alto, CA attempting to contact Mark to ask for money for his financially-strapped family. Even though Pradeep was verbally warned to stay away from the Facebook founder, he continued to try to contact him, even sending flowers to his home with a hand-written letter on January 28th. In one of his Facebook messages to Mark, Pradeep writes, "please help me, then I am ready to die for you." He continues, "Please understand my pain." The judge has ordered Pradeep to stay at least 300 yards away from Mark, his sister Randi and his girlfriend Priscilla Chan pending a hearing later this month.

Christina Aguilera sang the National Anthem at the Super Bowl last night, and messed up the lyrics. Instead of singing "o'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming," she sang, "What so proudly we watched, at the twilight's last streaming." ...
Christina Aguilera felt it necessary to issue a statement after flubbing a line in the National Anthem before the Super Bowl. The statement read: "I can only hope that everyone could feel my love for this country and that the true spirit of its anthem still came through." At one point she lost her place. When she was supposed to sing the line "O'er the ramparts we watched, were so gallantly streaming," she instead repeated an earlier line, with a slight variation.

Lindsay Lohan's attorney went on the record on Saturday saying her client did not steal that $2,500 necklace as authorities allege. "We vehemently deny these allegations and, if charges are filed, we will fight them in court, not in the press," attorney Shawn Chapman Holley said. She'll likely get that fight. Word has it a felony charge will be filed against Lohan as early as today. If convicted, it won't be an easy stint in a jail. It will be a stay in a state prison.Â
It's possible that Lindsay Lohan will be charged with felony grand theft today and she thinks it's just an example that she's become an easy target for people looking to hurt her. A jewelry store alleges that the star took a $2,500 necklace without paying for it or filling out any papers saying she was going to borrow it. Lindsay, who insists the necklace was loaned to her, thinks the jewelry store owner is taking the moment to bring their name into the media. If convicted, Lohan could be sent to state prison for three years. Veteran L.A. County Deputy District Attorney, Danette Meyers, has been tapped to prosecute Lindsay Lohan ... again. Meyers prosecuted Lindsay in her DUI case. Meyers is known for her felony trials and has been named Prosecutor of the Year twice.

As always seems to be the case with Los Angeles law enforcement, they are taking their time about deciding whether or not to charge Lindsay Lohan in the hot necklace caper. Apparently the choices are to charge her with felony grand theft, misdemeanor grand theft, or not filing any charges at all.Â
Lindsay Lohan now says she "borrowed" the necklace she is accused of swiping. The jewelry store in Venice says there is a load of paperwork to fill out when they loan jewelry, so security video will make or break Lohan's story. It is now known the alleged theft took place a few weeks ago and the jewelry store called police. They took two weeks to request a search warrant, because they waited until Lohan could be photographed wearing the necklace. She finally was the other day and the warrant was issued. ...

Julia Roberts is in talks to play the Evil Queen in a movie based on "Snow White." Theron is lined up for the Universal movie "Snow White and the Huntsman," which is also courting Kristen Stewart as Snow White. Roberts is in negotiations for "The Brothers Grimm: Snow White."Â Both movies are reportedly on a fast track, which means they should hit theaters sometime in 2012.

James Cameron creates another visually stunning movie, this time about the extreme world of caving. For those unfamiliar with this sport, itâs when people explore underground caves by foot and scuba diving. This movie is based on true events, showing you the horrible risks people take while trying to discover unknown parts of the world. Specifically, the least accessible cave system in the world.
Within the first 20 minutes, you know something bad is going to happen. A storm is expected, it comes too soon, and everyone gets trapped. The problem is no one has fully mapped out a way to get out of the cave, so theyâre doing it by pure guess. Human survival instincts kick in, bringing out the best and worst in the exploration team. And yes, things get uber intense and kind of gory.Â
This movie will make your heart pound and your palms sweat. It isnât intellectually stimulating, and the acting is best verbalized as âmeh.â However, the 3D effects and underwater world of the caves mixed with the rapid race to get out of the cave keep you engaged. After seeing this, I hereby swear that I will never, ever go caving. No thanks!

This is probably one of the most depressing movies Iâve ever seen. Javier Bardem (whoâs nominated for a best actor Oscar) is a dying father whoâs also connected to the afterlife. Heâs mixed up with dirty work and has to deal with a bipolar wife. His kids are as sweet as can be, but even they canât help him.
This Spanish film is in subtitles, but after the first few minutes, you forget youâre reading because you become so intrigued with the multiple story lines. At times it can get a bit confusing, but it never derails you from the central theme of death. Itâs in your face the whole time, whether itâs Bardemâs fate or the future of others.
Like other foreign dramas, this film isnât afraid to push boundaries. You see raw moments of nudity, drug use and abuse, making you quite uncomfortable at times and forcing you to either quietly chuckle or cover your eyes to help you get through those scenes. Iâm not surprised that Bardem was nominated and that it was nominated for a Best Foreign Film Oscar. Itâs pretty brilliant. I just wish there was at least one uplifting thing about it.
Who to take to this movie: mature adults who appreciate foreign film
Donât see this movie if: youâre squeamish about death

This is Mind Candy kinda stuff, and I honestly thought it would be a quick discussion and then just as quickly forgotten.
But apparently it has touched a nerve, and we've been buried in requests to post it. So, we dug it back up, and here it is.
These are ten magical items, each of which is desirable to some or all people...but you can only pick one. Here are your choices:
1. A pot that will make up to 2000 pounds of any food you choose, every day.
2. A bracelet that will make the weather perfect, and keep it that way, in a 150 mile radius of you, no matter where you go.
3. A necklace that allows you to touch books and instantly absorb all of the information within.
4. A watch that allows you to reverse time by one minute, and can be used once per day. (In order to go back and fix a mistake, prevent an accident, take back something you said, etc)
5. A bell that, when rung, will instantly fix one broken item.
6. A chocolate bar with 12 pieces; each piece bestows a healthy, vigorous, youthful life up to 160 years. (Apparently you get to choose 11 other people you want to share it with)
7. A van that holds up to 8 people, and without fuel or cost will instantly transport you anywhere in the world.
8. An unlimited bottle of perfume that will make you wildly attractive to the opposite sex (or same sex, if you so choose)
9. A remote control that can change you and a friend (superficially)Â into anyone you want; the effect lasts until you decide to revert.
10. An immortal dog that poops out one gold coin every time it goes.
Okay, have fun! And thanks for spending your mornings with us.
Dom
Leo Tolstoy, a famous Russian writer, wrote this list back in the 1800s (when he was only 18!). Dom read it on the show this morning, and it's pretty cool how many of these things still apply today! We don't agree with all of them though...how about you?
* Get up early (5:00)
* Go to bed early (9-10:00)
* Eat little and avoid sweets
* Try to do everything by yourself
* Have goals for your life and sacrifice the lesser ones to the greater
* Keep away from women (what?!)
* Kill desire by work (um...no)
* Be good, but try to let no one know it
* Always live less expensively than you might
* Change nothing in your style of living even if you become ten times richer

Fawcett's long-time partner, Ryan O'Neal, and her nephew Greg Walls donated the one piece suit yesterday, along with other memorabilia from Fawcett's life and career.  The collection also includes a copy of the poster, Fawcett's script book from "Charlie's Angels," a Farrah doll from 1977 and a "Farrah's Glamour Center" hairstyling doll, among other items. Fawcett's swimsuit joins a pop-culture collection at the National Museum of American History that also includes Archie Bunker's armchair, the puffy shirt from "Seinfeld" and the ruby slippers from "The Wizard of Oz." ...
If it werenât for Lindsay Lohan, Southern California prosecutors would probably be bored. Los Angeles prosecutors are now faced with the decision of whether or not to charge the train wreck with grand theft. Cops, armed with a search warrant, were on their way to Lohan's home yesterday to search for that stolen necklace when Lohan's stylist turned it in at a police substation. Lohan allegedly pinched the necklace from Kamofie & Company jewelers in Venice shortly after moving into the neighborhood. The owner of the store became hip to the whereabouts of the necklace when he saw a picture of Lohan on the Internet wearing it. He says it is a "one-of-a-kind necklace" and he also has store surveillance video showing Lohan taking it, according to one report. One county over, Riverside prosecutors are still trying to decide whether or not to charge Lohan with battery over that Betty Ford dust-up.Â
Lindsay Lohan's dad Michael was photographed going into her home yesterday toting a Bible. He towed the usual line, telling paparazzi that Lindsay never swiped any necklace

I want to say âthank-youâ to my fellow cast members, the crew of âTwo and a Half Men,â and everyone at CBS and Warner Bros., especially Les Moonves and Bruce Rosenblum for their concern."

Half-broke Horses: A True Life Novel, By Jeannette Walls
(Reviewed by Jane)
We featured Jeanette Walls' book âThe Glass Castleâ in our book club about a year ago. That book was a memoir about her life with her troubled parents. So, this book is sort of a pre-quel.
If you read âThe Glass Castleâ, youâll be interested to see the childhood of Jeannetteâs dysfunctional mother, Rosemary. The writing style of âHalf-Broke Horsesâ is quite different from âThe Glass Castleâ, since she wrote this book in her grandmotherâs voice. I actually read them out of order; in other words I read âHalf-Brokeâ before âGlass Castleâ, so if you havenât read either one, start with this one. Â
âHalf Broke Horsesâ is the novelized version of her grandmother, Lily Casey Smithâs life, spent mostly on a ranch in Texas.  She was kind of the typical, strong, pioneer type of women you would expect to find in the southwest, in the early 1900s. Born in 1901, she spent her childhood helping her dad break horses on heir ranch. ...
She left home as a teenager and got a job as a teacher in the middle of nowhere and thatâs where she met her first husband, who turned out to be quite a cad, but then she met her second husband, who was Jeanette Wallsâ grandfather.
In a nutshell, itâs the story of a confident, no-nonsense, powerful woman, set in a time where that type of woman wasnât the norm. To be honest, Iâm not sure that itâs the norm in 2011, but thatâs a whole different book!

Bret Michaels suffered a massive drop in blood pressure while recovering from his heart surgery, but his doctor found the cause and the singer is now doing better. Four days after the surgery, his blood pressure plunged. Tests showed the problem was not due to the surgery, but to dehydration and exhaustion, possibly as a result of his diabetes said cardiologist, Dr. Mansour Assar. A Pennsylvania native, Michaels says, "Having the Steelers win (in the playoffs) the night before my surgery was a sweet gift." ...
While Charlie Sheen will spend three months in rehab, he will be doing it at home. The decision was motivated in part by concerns over Sheen's privacy. While the actor is recovering, "Two and a Half Men" will go on hiatus, leaving the show's crew of 300 nervous about going without a paycheck. The studio hasn't decided whether the staff will be fully or just partially compensated or put on unpaid leave. CBS has ordered extra episodes of "Mike & Molly" and "Rules of Engagement" to help fill the schedule.
Porno star Kacey Jordan was one of the girls Sheen wanted to include in his "porn family." Inspired by true events, this thriller tells the story of an American priest named Michael Kovak who travels to Rome to study exorcism. While heâs there, he meets Father Lucas (Anthony Hopkins), an exorcist. Once Kovak starts helping Lucas, he questions the truth about demon spirits until the exorcisms start messing with Kovakâs beliefs.
Kovakâs character is pretty simple. His mom died when he was a kid and never had a close relationship with his father. Because of this, he ran off to try and be a priest, but he was more interested in truth than faith. He refuses to believe that Lucasâ patients are possessed.Â
Once the crazy, spine chilling turn of events happen, the movie finally gets going. Unfortunately you have to wait about 45 minutes. It has all the typical stuff youâve seen in other exorcism movies like possessed speech, spooky animals, and grotesque out of control body movements, but the focus isnât just on one person. Itâs really not that scary, and I get scared easily. Itâs a lot tamer than I thought it would be, but again itâs based off true events, so I think they didnât want to embellish the exorcisms too much.
Who to take to this movie: adults who like scary stories
Donât see this movie if: youâre with a group of kids

Ashton Kutcher and my same sex girlfriend Natalie Portman star in this R-rated rom-com about the fine lines of friends with benefits. Theyâre pretending itâs not a relationship, but obviously thereâs no way that can last too long. I bet you can figure out the ending, however, the path that takes you there isnât cookie cutter.
Since this is for adults only, it wasnât afraid to go dirty. The writing was quite funny, using lingo that weâd only be comfortable with in front of our closest friends. The physical scenes werenât graphic at all, but you get your fair share of seeing Kutcherâs chiseled abs. Yum!
I liked the surprising moments in this movie. For example, Kutcherâs dad (Kevin Kline) is an old, famous actor who canât keep a successful relationship. He had some of the funniest lines when trying to bond with his son. Also Portmanâs character is so awkward with affection that youâre thrown off when she starts shedding tears over Kutcher, so much at one point sheâs shoveling donut holes down her throat to feel better. Weâve all been there! But because Portman was so not into being affectionate, her kissing scenes werenât exactly romantic. She almost looked like she was in pain, not passion, while kissing Kutcher. Their chemistry wasnât super believable, but enough so for the couple hours youâre in the theater.
Who to take to this movie: adults whoâve had friends with benefits
Donât see this movie if: youâre with your parents

Jane shared this quiz on the show today. So ladies, what level are you at?  How does your guy rate?
Answer true or false to the following questions...
â¢Â The first outfit I put on is never the one I end up wearing.
â¢Â I have a housekeeper.
â¢Â I demand a phone call, or a very good explanation, when someone is late.
â¢Â I would never ride in a convertible with the top down for fear of wind blown hair.
â¢Â My partner should compliment me often, especially before we go out at night.
â¢Â I sometimes require much sleep in order to look and feel my best.
â¢Â I expect my significant other to give me gifts "just because."
â¢Â At a restaurant, I order my meals with special requirements.
â¢Â I never leave the house without blow drying my hair or using a hair product.
â¢Â My getting-ready-for-bed regimen last for more than 15 minutes.
Add up your true answers.1-3: Your are a dreamboat! Self-sufficient no matter what is thrown your way. Although you will probably grow to be an easygoing loaner or hermit.
4-6: You can get by with little maintenance. Usually you can do your own thing but occasionally you can be a pain in the patootie.
7-9: Wow are you needy! Do you remember a time when you could accomplish task on your own? I hope your significant has a fat pocketbook loaded with patience to fill your needs.
10: You are pathetically high maintenance. Either that or the person you had fill this out for you misunderstood your barked out commands. You might think about these results the next time you are at the nail salon in your Liz Claiborne outfit and Gucci shoes going over next months events in your daytimer.
But what about your guy? Is he high or low maintenance? -- Cosmopolitan says you know he's low-fuss if...
â¢Â He likes the way you look in flat shoes and your favorite baggy cargos.
â¢Â He's capable of making travel arrangements, dinner reservations and (bonus!) doctor's appointments.
â¢Â He's not threatened by your amazing, talented girlfriends.
â¢Â He knows the difference between a pot and a frying pan, and can cook more than two varieties of eggs.
â¢Â He doesn't get angry (read: feel blamed) when you are having a bad day.
â¢Â He can keep quiet as you parallel park.
â¢Â He listens.
You know he's going to be a handful if...
â¢Â He talks to his mother every day (worse, gets an allowance; worse still, lives with her).
â¢Â He's in analysis -- five times a week.
â¢Â When he doesn't get to yoga, it's not pretty.
â¢Â He can't handle you giving him directions, even if only you know where you're going.
â¢Â He whines (just once is too much).
â¢Â His way of being empathetic is telling you how whatever you just told him -- your woes, your big news, your latest story -- affects him.
â¢Â His e-mail address is exceptionally cute.
â¢Â He checks his voice mail/beeper during a "romantic" dinner.
â¢Â No matter what, he can't miss his weekly poker night or a football game.
â¢Â He thinks he's low maintenance.
