Glee star Cory Monteith was found dead Saturday in his room at Vancouver's Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. He was 31.

"We are so saddened to confirm that the reports on the death of Cory Monteith are accurate," his rep said in a statement. "We are in shock and mourning this tragic loss."   The cause of death was not immediately apparent, and an autopsy was set for Monday. Police said there were no indications of foul play but would not discuss what, if anything, was found in room.   According to police, the actor was out Friday night with friends and returned to his 21st floor room in the early morning hours alone.  Monteith had checked in July 6. He was due to check out Saturday.   When he missed his check-out time, staff went to the room at noon and found his body.  Born in Calgary, Monteith began his acting career in Vancouver, and was cast as Finn Hudson on the FOX musical series when it debuted in 2009.
Lea Michele is in mourning following the shocking news of her boyfriend and Glee costar Cory Monteith's death.  She has not released a statement, but her rep said in a statement, "We ask that everyone kindly respect Lea's privacy during this devastating time. Thank you."  Michele had stood by Monteith's side during his decision to enter rehab for substance addiction on March 31 of this year. Michele dated Monteith for a year
Glee production was scheduled to resume in two weeks, at the end of July, and Monteith's character Finn Hudson was expected to return at the beginning of season five, set to air this fall. Now, given the extremely difficult and complex issues surrounding Monteith's death, it is not known when the writers will have new scripts completed, and perhaps more importantly, when the cast and producers will feel it is appropriate to return to work.
Kanye West got into it with another photographer on Friday, at the airport in Los Angeles.  He told the guy not to talk to him or anyone he knows.  When the guy asked about another project with Jay-Z, Kanye attacked him.  Kanye actually told the guy to tell all his paparazzi friends not to talk to ANYONE ever again, including themselves.
Six hospital workers at the hospital where she recently gave birth to her daughter North lost their jobs after snooping into Kim Kardashian's medical records.  Employees of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where Kardashian had a birthing suite, were fired for breaching the private records of 14 patients between June 18 and June 24, according to the Los Angeles Times. Five of those employees were fired for looking at the records of the same patient, while one employee looked at the records of 14 patients altogether.

Kardashian gave birth on June 15 and checked out of the hospital on June 20.  TMZ confirms that Kardashian was the target of the snooping. The hospital contacted her to let her know that her privacy had been breached. Kardashian suspected she was the target of a nosy hospital worker when certain media reports (though we're not sure which) offered up information about North that she hadn't told anybody.  Privacy breaches of celebrities have become problem for Los Angeles hospitals. Octomom, Britney Spears, Farrah Fawcett, Maria Shriver and Arnold Schwarzenegger have all been victims of privacy breaches at local hospitals. Some hospital workers have even been caught selling this information to tabloids.  Kardashian is pleased that she was contacted and that the hospital took action against the workers. She has taken steps to preserve at least a few shreds of privacy in her own life. She smoked out leakers from her own circle of friends by sending fake baby photos to them.
As expected, Halle Berry and Oliver Martinez got married over the weekend.  The ceremony went down on Saturday at a chateau in France.  About 60 people attended.  There's no word if any celebrities were there.

Jimmy Kimmel and his girlfriend Molly McNearney got married Saturday at the Ojai Valley Inn & Spa near Los Angeles.  This is Jimmy's second marriage.  Check out the list of celebs who were there:  Matt Damon and his wife Luciana, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner, Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia De Rossi, Kristen Bell and Dax Shepard, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski, Johnny Knoxville, Kelly Ripa, and Howard Stern.

Donnie Wahlberg has found the right stuff in Jenny McCarthy.  The New Kids on the Block singer and the TV personality are Hollywood's newest couple, a source has confirmed to US Weekly.  "Yes, they recently started dating and are having a lot of fun," another insider said. "They had a blast 4th of July hanging out with a bunch of their friends."  The couple reportedly spent Independence Day together with fellow NKOTB member Jonathan Knight and his boyfriend Harley.  Sparks first started to fly between the new duo when Wahlberg, 43, had appeared as a guest on McCarthy's talk show in March.  The two got quite comfortable with each other on air talking about what kind of pillow talk Wahlberg is into.  McCarthy previously dated comedian Jim Carrey for more than five years before splitting in 2010, she also has a son Evan from a previous relationship.  Wahlberg was married to Kim Fey for nine year before divorcing in 2008, the prior pair share two children together -- Xavier Alexander Wahlberg and Elijah Hendrix Walberg.

Fergie Ferg from the Black Eyed Peas is in the middle of a serious identity crisis -- 'cause she's petitioning the court to legally change her FIRST and LAST name. Ferg -- born Stacy Ann Ferguson -- has filed legal papers requesting to officially change her name to Fergie Duhamel ... roughly 4-and-a-half years after marrying Josh Duhamel.  The reason for wanting to change her last name is obvious ... but in the docs, filed in L.A. County Superior Court, Ferg's lawyer says she wants to swap Stacy for Fergie in order to "conform to the first name which she is commonly and professionally known as, and has been for many years."  In other words ... no one's called her "Stacy" in YEARS.   In order for the court to grant her request, Ferg ... or Stacy (for now) ... must publish a notice in a local newspaper for four consecutive weeks.   She'll most likely get her wish if she completes her task by August 16 -- when a hearing is scheduled for the matter.
Alice Cooper went off the other day about how people are calling all this new folk music rock and roll.  Mumford and Sons, The Lumineers, all those bands.  It was pretty harsh, but he was actually pretty fair about it too.  He said those bands are GREAT at what they do . . . but it's offensive to call it rock and roll, because there isn't any rebellion in it.  He said this whole generation of musicians needs to get out and eat a steak, and put some energy in its music.
