Nearly a week after turning 21, Selena Gomez celebrated the milestone Saturday night with plenty of friends – and a surprising familiar face. Gomez – who shares her July 22 birthday with the newborn Prince George of Cambridge – hosted a gypsy-themed bash at Malibu's Revolve Beach House. On the guest list: Julianne Hough and brother Derek, Nina Dobrev, Ashley Benson, Jaden Smith and celeb stylist Riawna Capri. "When Selena's song 'Birthday' came on, all of the guests gathered on the dance floor and took shots of chilled VeeV," a source tells PEOPLE. The evening, which was filled with dancing, good friends, and plenty of drinks, got an unexpected visitor around midnight when the Spring Breakers actress's on-again, off-again beau Justin Bieber arrived.
"Justin arrived at the party in his leopard-print Audi R8," a different source says. "He was casually dressed and carried a single rose." When Gomez saw him she "started to cry," according to the first source. "Justin and Selena went into the house to talk and were inside for a long time before sneaking out together." As for the birthday girl, the second source says she left the party with Bieber, 19, around 2 a.m.
Selena was on "Good Morning America" this past Friday, and they asked her how things are with Justin Bieber. She said they have so much history together that she'll always defend him against people to try to criticize him.
Matthew Perry filled in as a guest host for Piers Morgan on Friday night. And he had his "Friends" co-star Lisa Kudrow on as a guest. They ended up talking about how they wish they hadn't chosen to end the show back in 2004. Matthew says if he had a time machine and he could go back to 2004, he'd want to keep the show going. And Lisa agrees.
And another Friend, Jennifer Aniston won't play hooky to wed fiancé Justin Theroux. In spite reports that the couple has pushed back their wedding plans, the actress says they're simply waiting for the right time in their work schedules to make it official. "We just want to do it when it's perfect, and we're not rushed, and no one is rushing from a job or rushing to a job," she told the Associated Press while promoting her latest film, We're the Millers, in N.Y.C. "And, you know, we already feel married." Details of the delay, she adds, have been incorrectly reported. "We have yet to set any date," says Aniston, who accepted Theroux's marriage proposal last August after dating for more than a year. "There have been no canceled weddings. There have been no postponed weddings. There have been no arguments about where to get married. Just clearing all that up." Not that the course of true love has run smooth for Aniston and Theroux. "I have a broken toe," she also told E! News. "Not to out my sweet, sweet fiancé, but he has big feet and wears these boots. He stepped on my toe. Broke it. I felt it."
It's not easy being a Vogue cover girl! While taking to Jay Leno, Katy Perry admitted that the July issue photo spread -- shot by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz -- required intense preparation. "I did a lot of my own prepping," the "Wide Awake" singer, 28, said of the cover that was shot on a farm in Upstate New York. "I kind of went on a cleanse, I did a lot of stuff like vitamins and supplements, I changed my coffee to green tea, I didn't drink alcohol for three months. I was really in the zone, I just wanted to be glowing for that cover," she continued. Perry, who voices Smurfette in the upcoming July 31 Smurfs 2 movie, also opened up about the vibe of her upcoming album, which she said will debut "soon." "I’ve had a lot of time to reflect, and I think that it will continually be what I always do -- connecting to my core and trying to bring an honest message that people can relate to,” she said.
Christina Aguilera definitely knows how to make her haters eat their words. The returning Voice coach turned heads at an NBC press event in Beverly Hills on Saturday, July 27, when she rocked the carpet in a tight pink minidress that revealed some major weight loss and a new, fit figure. The 32-year-old singer looked tan and rested in a clingy pink frock as she struck poses on the red carpet, her long blonde hair down in loose waves. A source tells Us that Aguilera has managed her slim-down with a combination of healthy eating and working out. "It's more of a mind-body thing for her," a source previously told Us of Aguilera's commitment to shedding the pounds. "She believes in exercise that she enjoys, doing strength work as opposed to intense cardio."
Lindsay Lohan has made a list ... she's checked it twice ... and she's decided ... the majority of her so-called "friends" will be CUT from her life when she's sprung from rehab. Sources close to the actress tell TMZ, Lindsay recently sat down at Cliffside -- where she's currently enrolled in a substance abuse treatment program -- and made a list 100 friends ... who knew? We’re told Lilo was inspired by a therapy session about "toxic friends and influences." Lindsay actually made 2 lists, one with the friends she'll keep, and the other with the ones she'll ax. According to sources, 80 people were on the "cut" list. Lindsay showed it to her closest friends -- who mostly agreed with her choices. The big question ... did her parents get the chop?
Here's something that may sound STRANGELY familiar: NBC is trying to figure out a way to keep Jay Leno around after he leaves "The Tonight Show" in February, when Jimmy Fallon is taking over. A higher-up at NBC says, quote, "We've been having conversations, [and] talking about various ideas. Nothing would make us happier than to have him stay on the network, and [Jay's] got a lot of ideas." There's no word what any of those ideas may be, but regardless, it sure sounds a little ominous . . . especially since "keeping Jay Leno around" was the main reason for the mess with Conan O'brien in 2010.
How much did your last haircut cost? 15 bucks? 50? Heck, even a hundred is NOTHING compared to what Reese Witherspoon shelled out. On Saturday, Reese went to the Rossano Ferretti Salon in Beverly Hills, where she got her hair done for a mere $1,500. This is a high-end joint that has its very own, patented hairstyling method, called the Ferretti Technique. Here's how the salon's website explains it: "Each strand of hair has its own structure and movement . . . With sensibility and care, the designer treats each strand its own way, in order to achieve the most natural effect. This belief is why [our haircuts] are so subtly carved, to create a harmonious image each time. A haircut that is like a work of art." Angelina Jolie and Salma Hayek are reportedly also fans of the Ferretti Technique.
