The rumors about Kris and Bruce Jenner having marital problems were probably true all along, because they announced yesterday that they're SEPARATED after 22 years of marriage. Kris says, quote, "We are living apart. But there is no animosity. We are united and committed to our family." She added, quote, "We ended a marriage, but that's not the end of our friendship. I will always love him, but we are [no] longer a couple in that way." They also released a joint statement saying, quote, "We are living separately and we are much happier this way . . . We will always remain best friends and, as always, our family will remain our number one priority." For whatever reason, they have no plans to divorce. Apparently, they're cool with the way things are. At least for now. They've reportedly been apart since June. Bruce is 63 . . . Kris is 57. They have two kids together . . . 17-year-old Kendall and 16-year-old Kylie. As for why they split . . . sources say Kris is addicted to celebrity, and Bruce wanted to live a much simpler life. It was HIS idea to move out. She didn't want him to, because it wasn't good for their show.
Miley Cyrus did an a cappella version of "We Can't Stop" with Jimmy Fallon and The Roots last night. But they didn't do it in that classroom, the way they normally do it. They were all arranged in a "Brady Bunch" split screen, with Miley in the middle. Look it up, it sounds great.
Jimmy Kimmel had Brad Paisley on his show last night, to premiere his new "Tuesday Night Football" theme song. The joke being, there are never any football games on Tuesday night.
Jimmy Kimmel also announced yesterday that Kanye West would be his guest on tonight's show. But he STILL insists their Twitter beef wasn't a stunt. He says if you've ever wanted to see a talk show host get strangled by a pair of leather pants, watch the show tonight.
66-year-old Suzanne Somers was on "The Talk" yesterday, and the hosts wanted to know how her sex life is going. But they weren't ready to hear the answer. She's been married to the same guy for 36 years . . . and they were together for ten years before that. And they're having sex TWICE A DAY. Suzanne said it's because they're both doing hormone therapy.
Kathie Lee Gifford responded yesterday to the new book that claims her husband Frank once had an affair with Johnny Carson's wife. She says it's not true . . . but apparently Frank isn't so sure. She says she asked him about it, and he said, quote, "I can't remember . . . Maybe?" But she might have been joking.
Steve Martin and Edie Brickell performed on Ellen yesterday. He tours with the Steep Canyon Rangers, a bluegrass band and he and Edie put out a cd and are now on tour.
If there's one movie sci-fi fans want to see, it's a sequel to the 1982 classic "Blade Runner". Director Ridley Scott has talked about making it . . . which is pretty exciting. But this is even MORE exciting: Harrison Ford is now talking about it, too. He's even talking to Ridley Scott about it. He says, quote, "Yeah, we've been chatting about it. I truly admire Ridley as a man and as a director and I would be very happy to engage again with him in the further telling of this story." We should note a "Blade Runner" sequel . . . with or without Harrison Ford . . . is NOT a definite at this point.
Someone out there was willing to cough up $250,000 to buy a single piece of USED gum, which had been chewed by Gene Simmons of Kiss. And that makes total sense, you know, since there's such a DEARTH of KISS memorabilia out there. Strangely, it wasn't even a CLASSIC piece of gum from a notable moment in the band's history. Gene chewed it less than two weeks ago, while on a British show called "Soccer AM". The gum was sold on eBay, and . . . after 99 BIDS . . . closed at $247,310.40. There's no word on who the buyer is, or what they were smoking when they made the bid. The proceeds will be donated to charity. The gum's "packaging" was included, along with a "script" from the show.
