After performing at the iHeartRadio listening party in L.A. celebrating the release of her brand-new album, Prism, Katy Perry took questions from some of the fans in the audience and one fan asked Perry what she keeps in her purse, to which the pop star replied that she keeps a "big empty purse."  She does now, anyway.  "One of the first times I went to the Grammys, I got to share a dressing room with Miley Cyrus and Taylor Swift ," Perry recalled, going off on a sudden tangent, "and I asked them for a lock of their hair from each one of them, which is totally creepy, but awesome." And apparently Cyrus and Swift both obliged because..."I put little bows on them individually and put them in my purse. And that was my little secret and I'm a freak!" Perry giddily acknowledged. Even the evening's host, Mario Lopez, wasn't sure quite what to say after that strange reveal, but somehow, we just love her all the more for it. She also said that Miley is probably the most famous person in her phone right now, if not the whole world, so...Credit Perry for the foresight to want the "Wrecking Ball" singer's hair years ago!

Kanye West proposed to Kim Kardashian on Monday night, the night she turned 33.  He rented out the San Francisco Giants' ballpark and put an orchestra on the field for her.  He put the proposal up on the Jumbotron and got down on one knee.  The diamond ring is 15 carats, for the people who care about those things.  After Kim said yes, her friends and family came out and they had a party to celebrate.  And they played Kanye's music. Renting the ballpark cost him about $200,000 and the orchestra was around $50k and the ring.  $6 million for the ring.
No publicity is bad publicity, even if that publicity stems from a string of whacked out interviews ... at least that's what the people behind Jenna Jameson's new book say. A rep for Skyhorse Publishing tells us ... the company doesn't believe Jenna's sloppy live TV performances will harm the sales of "Sugar" -- in fact, they think it put the book on people's literary radar.  As for Jenna's claim that she wasn't intoxicated, but simply TIRED during the interviews, a rep for Skyhorse says JJ's story adds up because she had travel delays the night before her 6AM "Good Day NY" interview and barely slept.  Just to be safe -- Skyhorse says it's taking extra steps to make sure Jenna "gets enough sleep" before future interviews.  Good idea.

KP's BF, John Mayer, hasn't had the best track record with women in the past (see: Taylor Swift, Jennifer Aniston, and Jessica Simpson), but his future with girlfriend Katy is looking brighter every day. The couple of 15 months (with a three-month break earlier this year) are fully committed and headed for an engagement, sources reveal in the Oct. 28 issue of Us Weekly. "Everyone knows it's just a question of when John will propose," a source tells Us of the "Paper Doll" singer, 36, who took Perry, 29, as his date to his brother Carl's wedding at New York's Mamaroneck Beach & Yacht Club on Oct. 13. They "realize they must be together," the pal says. Adds another source: "They Skype and text all day. John always checks in before bed!"
There's a new video where scenes from "The Walking Dead" are edited together, so it looks like the characters are singing "Monster Mash".  And it's absolutely FILLED with graphic violence.
From bulky to bony -- Jake Gyllenhaal tells Us Weekly his gaunt appearance and dramatic weight loss transformation is all for the sake of art. He said his new look is for his character in the upcoming thriller, Nightcrawler, currently shooting in Los Angeles.  In it, Gyllenhaal plays a struggling, freelance crime reporter named Lou who stumbles upon the decrepit underground world of Los Angeles.  Gyllenhaal explains, "I knew that [Lou] was literally and figuratively hungry," adding that he's emulating his character by getting into a "mode where I was always a bit hungry."   He is following in the footsteps of fellow Hollywood hunks: Matthew McConaughey dropped 50 pounds in his role as an HIV-positive man in the critically-acclaimed movie Dallas Buyers Club. Christian Bale also lost an astounding 65 pounds in 2004 for his role as an insomniac in The Machinist. Gyllenhaal's latest physical transformation is not his first: In 2010, the Oscar nominee added major muscle to his physique to prep for his role in Disney's Prince of Persia. The actor revealed then that he would eat six small meals loaded with protein, carbs and fats. Gyllenhaal, however, says there was no special diet to keep his weight down for Nightcrawler. "I just love this movie," he says. "That’s how I did it. There really was no technique."

Jimmy Fallon joked last night about Dolly Parton getting into a fender bender in Nashville the other day.  He says she was fine, because her airbags have been deployed for the last 60 years.
Paul McCartney is working on a video for the song "Queenie Eye", off his latest album "New".  He just put out a behind-the-scenes video from the shoot at Abbey Road Studios. Paul explained where the idea for the song came from.  "Queenie Eye" used to be a game they would play outside in Liverpool, when Paul was a kid.  This "Queenie Eye" video is going to be pretty amazing.  The shoot looked like it was crammed with huge celebrities.  Meryl Streep, Johnny Depp, Jude Law, Kate Moss, and a bunch of others. Johnny Depp talked about what it was like to hang out with Paul McCartney in the studio where all the Beatles' best work was recorded... He says it's a rush, because that's, quote, "the room that changed the world."
