Ingredients:
32 oz chicken broth
12 oz beer
1 cup of shredded carrots
1 cup diced onion
2-3 cloves of minced garlic
1/2 cup diced celery
3 cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/4 cup cornstarch
Directions:
Place chicken broth, garlic, beer, carrots, celery, onions, Worcestershire sauce and salt and pepper into your crock. Cover and cook on LOW for 5 hours.
Remove lid and stir in shredded cheese, and heavy cream. Stir until cheese is melted. Next whisk in cornstarch. Recover and cook for 10-15 minutes longer.
I served with pretzel rolls – I find mine at Costco!
