Grammy-winning rapper 21 Savage recently released the trailer for his upcoming film American Dream: The 21 Savage Story, featuring Donald Glover and Caleb McLaughlin.
Directed by Donald Glover, Stephen Glover, Jamal Olori and Fam Udeorji, the four-minute trailer features three generations of 21 Savage, played by Caleb McLaughlin, Donald Glover and himself.
McLaughlin from “Stranger Things” plays the younger self of 21 Savage, as he moves from the U.K. to Atlanta. Meanwhile, Glover plays him later on as he starts rapping and making music with Metro Boomin, played by Jabari Banks, before being taken into custody by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), appearing in court and eventually being released.
American Dream: The 21 Savage Story will be released in theaters on Independence Day 2024, with “music inspired by the film” set to drop on Friday, January 12.
