Maroon 5 frontman Adam Levine recently revealed his latest tattoo, (albeit a temporary one), a black rose that extends along the left side of his face from his temple down to his cheekbone.

Several pictures of the singer’s new tattoo were shared on his wife Behati Prinsloo‘s Instagram Stories, with one snap showing Levine looking at the camera from the passenger seat of a car while holding a bottle of Calirosa tequila as the new ink is clearly visible.

Meanwhile, Levine took to his Instagram Stories the very next day to reveal that the ink on his face was not permanent.

“This message is for my mother: I do not have a tattoo on my face,” he said in a selfie video. “Those that know me know that I’m too vain – I’m too f***ing vain to get a tattoo on my face. I’ll tattoo the rest of this, but no, the face has gotta stay the same.”
