‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ Earns Record-Extending 18th Week Atop Billboard Global 200

Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has once again topped both the Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts.

The Christmas hit came in at No. 1 on the Billboard Global 200 for a record-extending 18th week.

The song leads the Global 200 for a fifth consecutive week, earning 159 million streams and selling 13,000 copies worldwide in the tracking week ending on December 28, according to Luminate.

The rest of the top five hold on to their previous week’s ranks in the chart dated January 6: Wham!‘s “Last Christmas” (No. 2), Brenda Lee‘s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” (No. 3), Bobby Helms‘ “Jingle Bell Rock” (No. 4) and Ariana Grande‘s “Santa Tell Me” (No. 5).

“All I Want for Christmas Is You” also tops the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. with 109.5 million streams and 6,000 sold outside the U.S. during the same period. This is the 13th week that the song has come in at No. 1. With this, she tied with Miley Cyrus‘ “Flowers” and Harry Styles‘ “As It Was” for the most weeks at No. 1.

Two other holiday hits also retained their position – Wham!’s “Last Christmas” at No. 2 and Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” at No. 3.

In the inaugural week of the year, all the top 19 titles on the Global 200 chart and all top 20 on Global Excl. U.S. chart are seasonal songs.

The Billboard Global 200 and Billboard Global Excl. U.S. charts rank songs based on streaming and sales activity data from around the world.
