Avril Lavigne made her TikTok debut on Go Skateboarding Day (June 21), and shared the link for the video on her Instagram.
The video, which also features skateboarding legend Tony Hawk, shows Lavigne sitting on top of a ramp, wearing a black T-shirt with matching shorts and a striped necktie, and lip-syncing along to her 2002 classic “Sk8er Boi.”
“He was a.” Lavigne wrote in the caption, referencing the song’s memorable lyrics. “I just posted my first @tiktok with the legendary @tonyhawk. go check it out!” she wrote on Instagram.
When she sings the chorus, “He was a skater boy/She said, ‘See ya later, boy,’” the camera zooms in on the tie, before zooming out and revealing the ultimate sk8er boi, Hawk.
Hawk is seen performing a few tricks on one of his own boards.
Lavigne had shared a brief visual on Instagram last month, showing off her skateboarding attempt, which ended in a little tumble.
“Hope this makes you laugh as hard as it’s made my friends and I laugh all week,” she wrote then. “That’s what I get for sk8ing in my slippers and dress.”
