BTS‘ Jimin has made his solo debut on top of the Billboard Artist 100 chart with a big leap from No. 10.
Jimin has become the top musical act in the United States in the chart dated April 8, driven by the success of his new solo album, FACE, and its breakout track, “Like Crazy.”
FACE is the debut studio album by the South Korean singer, released via BigHit Music/Geffen/Interscope Records on March 24.
Consisting of five songs, all co-written by Jimin, and one instrumental, FACE is ranked No. 2 on the Billboard 200 chart with 164,000 equivalent album units, according to Luminate.
“Like Crazy,” a song from the album, has also topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
All seven members of BTS have solo Hot 100-charting songs to their credit, but only Jimin claims the credit of reaching No. 1.
The Artist 100 measures artist activity across key metrics of music consumption, blending album and track sales, radio airplay and streaming to provide a weekly multi-dimensional ranking of artist popularity.
