Cardi B recently released “Bongos,” her new collaborative single with Megan Thee Stallion. The collab is their first together since “WAP,” which arrived in 2020.
“Bongos” arrived with a colorful music video, directed by Tano Muino, with whom Cardi previously worked on “Up,” “Wild Side,” and “Rumors.”
“Bitch, I look like money/ You could print my face on a dollar,” Cardi raps, with several dazzling dancers surrounding her and Megan.
“My back shots sound like bongos/ I ain’t scared to admit, I’m a freak ho/ At least I’m gettin’ my money,” adds Megan.
Cardi B said in a recent interview with DJ Whoo Kid that “Bongos” would not be a sequel to “WAP.”
“I wonder how people are gonna react to this vibe because they’re really like expecting ‘WAP,’ like, ‘Oh, here they go again talking this and that,’” Billboard quotes Cardi B as saying. “We are talking a little, you know, about some p-y, but not like ‘WAP’ type of stuff.”
Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion are set to deliver the live debut of “Bongos” during the MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday, September 12.
