Doja Cat Pulls Out Of 2022 Brit Awards As Numerous Crewmembers Test Positive For Covid

Doja Cat has been forced to cancel her performance at this year’s Brit Awards as several of her crewmembers tested positive for the coronavirus.

“Unfortunately, due to cases of COVID within my crew, I will no longer be performing at the Brits,” Doja Cat announced on Twitter. “My team and I have been in rehearsals for weeks and despite taking the utmost caution, numerous members of my crew (both on and offstage) have tested positive for COVID.”

“It’s simply not safe for us to continue to rehearse together and put each other in harm’s way. I can’t wait to perform for my UK fans as soon as I can. Take care of yourselves,” she added.

Doja Cat, who has been nominated for international artist of the year and best international song, was scheduled to perform at London’s 02 Arena on February 8.

It would have been the 26-year-old singer-songwriter’s first show in the U.K.
