Ed Sheeran teamed up with Coldplay at the launch of the band’s ninth studio album, Music of the Spheres, at London’s O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on Tuesday (October 12).
Sheeran and Coldplay performed each other’s hits during the launch event. Sheeran joined the band for a rendition of their 2005 song “Fix You” from their third studio album, X&Y.
Coldplay accompanied Sheeran on his latest single, “Shivers,” and “Shape Of You,” which ruled the Billboard Hot 100 for 12 non-consecutive weeks and remains the most-streamed song on Spotify with nearly 3 billion streams.
The album, produced by Max Martin, arrived on Friday (October 16) via Parlaphone/Atlantic Records.
