Ed Sheeran’s ‘=’ Debuts Atop Billboard 200

Ed Sheeran‘s latest album = (Equals) has debuted atop Billboard‘s all-genre 200 chart, earning the British singer-songwriter his 4th No. 1 on the chart.

=(Equals), which was released on October 29, earned 118,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending November 4, according to MRC Data.

Sheeran had previously topped the chart with No. 6 Collaborations Project in 2019, ÷ (Division) in 2017 and x (Multiplication) in 2014.

= (Equals) features 14 tracks, including singles “Bad Habits” and “Shivers.” Of the 118,000 equivalent album units earned, album sales comprise more than half with 68,000, SEA units comprise 46,500, which equals 61.69 million on-demand streams of the album’s songs, and TEA units comprise 3,500.

“(Equals) is a really personal record and one that means a lot to me. My life changed greatly over the past few years — I got married, became a father, experienced loss and I reflect on these topics over the course of the album. I see it as my coming-of-age record, and I can’t wait to share this next chapter with you,” Sheeran had previously said about the album.
