Elton John, Dua Lipa Join Forces On ‘Cold Heart’ Remix

Music icon Elton John and pop superstar Dua Lipa recently teamed up for a remix of “Cold Heart.”

Australian electronic trio PNAU, consisting of Peter Mayes and brothers Nick and Sam Littlemore, created the mashup.

The single seamlessly blends together several favorite tracks from John, including “Sacrifice,” “Kiss The Bride” and, of course, “Rocket Man.”

“I’m fizzing with excitment!!!! @eltonjohn i love you and i’m so happy this is finally coming out into the world,” Lipa wrote when announcing the track earlier in the week.

“Dua, I adore you, and it has been an incredible experience making this together. I can’t wait for you all to hear it!” John wrote on Instagram.

John and Lipa previously teamed up earlier this year to sing “Bennie And The Jets” and “Love Again” together at an Oscars watch party. John also took part in Lipa’s Studio 2054 livestream last year.

“The last 18 months have been hard, but being off the road has meant that I’ve actually had time to get back to my roots as a session player and collaborate with some wonderful artists,” John said in a statement. “And having the opportunity to spend time with Dua, albeit remotely has been incredible.”

“She’s given me so much energy. She’s a truly wonderful artist, and person, absolutely bursting with creativity and ideas. The energy she brought to ‘Cold Heart’ just blew my mind,” he added.

Lipa said she “absolutely lost [her] mind” when John played “Levitating” on his Rocket Hour radio show.
