Former My Chemical Romance drummer Bob Bryar has put his drum set up for auction for a charitable cause.
Bryar is selling The Black Parade-era kit, consisting of the bass drum, rack tom, floor tom, and snare drum, along with the road case that carries the My Chemical Romance logo.
The drum set was featured at the rock band’s performance at the 2005 MTV Video Music Awards, used in the following tour, and to record parts of the 2006 landmark album The Black Parade.
Bryar announced that he will donate the money he gets from the auction to the animal control and adoption center in Williamson County, Tennessee.
The set, which the musician says is the last of his drum kits to be auctioned off, will be sold on eBay.
“This is my very last drum kit and it’s ready for a new home. I used this kit when mychem opened the MTV VMA’s in 2005, the following tour, and for some of the parade record,” he said.
A total of 86 bids have been placed on the drum set so far, and $11,000.00 is the latest price as of the time of this writing.
