Finneas said in a recent interview with Mr Porter that his sister Billie Eilish‘s third studio album is “85 percent done.”
Finneas said the process of making the album was quite tough. “I don’t think Billie was particularly sure about how she actually felt about the things we were trying to write about,” he explained. “Making a thing that you feel really connected to – it can really evade you.”
Finneas, who produced and co-wrote Eilish’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? and Happier Than Ever, as well as her two-track 2022 EP Guitar Songs, added that mapping out the time between his own busy schedule for writing was difficult as he performed 88 shows in a year’s time.
“I think I got a little rusty. And that was scary. It was discouraging to realize that if I take time off, my songwriting muscle atrophies. I had to get back in shape,” he said.
