Glass Animals’ ‘Heat Waves’ Remains Atop Billboard Hot 100 For Third Week

Glass Animals‘ “Heat Waves” has remained on top of the Billboard Hot 100 for a third consecutive week.

Earlier this month, the song reached No. 1 on the chart for the first time after spending 59 weeks on the chart, setting a new record.

The single broke the record of Mariah Carey‘s “All I Want for Christmas Is You,” which spent 35 nonconsecutive weeks on the chart before hitting No.1 in December 2019.

“Heat Waves,” a single from the album Dreamland, was released in June 2020 and debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated January 16, 2021.

The Hot 100 blends all-genre U.S. streaming (official audio and official video), radio airplay and sales data.

“Heat Waves” drew 67.3 million radio airplay audience impressions and 15.2 million U.S. streams and sold 3,100 downloads in the March 11-17 tracking week, as per MRC Data.

“Heat Waves” is the first chart topper for Glass Animals, which comprises Dave Bayley, Edmund Irwin-Singer, Drew MacFarlane and Joe Seaward.
