Glass Animals’ ‘Heat Waves’ Spends Second Week Atop Billboard Hot 100

Glass Animals‘ “Heat Waves” as remained atop the Billboard Hot 100 chart, extending its stay in top positions to a second straight week. The track is ranked No. 1 on the Radio Songs chart as well.

According to MRC Data, “Heat Waves” drew 65.6 million radio airplay audience impressions and 15.1 million U.S. streams (up 1%). The track sold 3,500 downloads in the tracking week ending March 10, recording a 20% jump.

The single, which has earned Glass Animals their first Hot 100 No. 1, also marks the band’s first visit to the Radio Songs chart. On the Streaming Songs list, the track has advanced 5-3.

“Heat Waves” is the first song by a British group to have topped the Hot 100 for multiple weeks in just over 25 years, since Spice Girls‘ “Wannabe” led for four weeks beginning February 22, 1997.

The track is just the 20th song to have spent 60 or more weeks on the Hot 100.
