GloRilla Featured In New Tommy Jeans Campaign

A new campaign launched by Tommy Jeans and luxury streetwear brand Aries for the 35-piece “Tommy x Aries” collection features rapper GloRilla.

“I’m a big Aaliyah fan, and I love what she did with them,” said GloRilla, who donned Tommy Hilfiger’s signature red white, and blue for the partnership. “I’m part of keeping a legacy going.”

She continued, “I feel highly favored, because it could have been anyone else but me,” adding, “I gotta make sure I keep it going. Memphis is getting the notoriety it deserves.”

A small collage of photos uploaded by GloRilla show the rapper sporting the signature red, white, and blue colors that made the brand famous.

The Tommy x Aries collection has menswear, womenswear and footwear, featuring designs that include ’90s-style silhouettes with exaggerated proportions, split colorways, layers and lots of baggy denim, all inspired by the Tommy Jeans’ archives.

The collection also include a black trucker jacket with a five-pocket matching pant, a jacquard tape logo dress and relaxed indigo denim jacket and baggy split colorway screen-printed jean, like the one worn by Aaliyah in a 1996 campaign for Tommy Jeans.

The campaign, shot by Angelo Pennetta, also features grime artist Novelist and Aries crew members 5EB, Brian Tshabola, Haajar Djouada, Kasper Kapica, Kirbs, Nathan Rosen and Xiao Wang.
