Halsey Shares Trailer For IMAX Film Set To Accompany New Album

Halsey has released a trailer for a film that will accompany her fourth studio album If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power.

The two-minute trailer states that the film “is about the lifelong social labyrinth of sexuality and birth,” adding, “The greatest horror stories never told were buried with the bodies of those who died in that labyrinth.”

And then, there is a glimpse of some unsettling scenes, with Halsey later giving birth to their baby. At the end of the snippet, the singer stands up from the throne previously seen on the If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power cover.

The film, which is also titled If I Can’s Have Love, I Want Power, was written by Halsey and directed by Colin Tilley. The one-hour movie will release in select IMAX theaters later this summer.

The album, produced by Trent Reznor of Nine Inch Nails alongside Atticus Ross, is scheduled to arrive on August 27 via Capitol Records.
