J. Cole Reportedly Leaving BAL After Completing Contractual Obligation

Rapper J. Cole, who made his professional basketball debut last weekend in the Basketball Africa League (BAL), has reportedly left the league after completing contractual obligation.

According to ESPN, Cole, who played for the Rwanda Patriots, has completed his contractual obligation to the Basketball Africa League and has departed from Rwanda because of a “family obligation.”

Cole made his debut with the Patriots Basketball Club on Sunday, May 16 against Rivers Hoopers Basketball Club, which the Patriots won 83-60. Cole has made 5 points, 3 assists and 5 rebounds in 45 minutes of three preliminary games.

Meanwhile, Cole dropped his latest album The Off-Season on Friday, May 14. The album is a follow-up to the rapper’s 2018 record KOD, as well as his 2019 Dreamville compilation Revenge of The Dreamers III.
