Global superstar Justin Bieber, actor-comedian Will Arnett, Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Michael Buble and singer, songwriter, dancer, and actress Tate McRae will be celebrity team captains for the 2024 NHL All-Star Game.
The National Hockey League has announced that Bieber will be the celebrity captain for Team Matthews. He will partner with Toronto Maple Leafs forward Auston Matthews and defenseman Morgan Rielly.
Team Matthews will wear blue jerseys at Scotiabank Arena in Toronto on February 3.
Team McDavid will be led by Edmonton Oilers center Connor McDavid, with Oilers center Leon Draisaitl as his assistant and Arnett as the celebrity captain. That team will wear white jerseys.
McCrae will be the celebrity captain for Team MacKinnon. The team will be led by Colorado Avalanche center Nathan MacKinnon, with assistant and teammate Cale Makar. Team MacKinnon will wear yellow jerseys.
Buble is the celebrity captain for Team Hughes, which will be led by New Jersey Devils center Jack Hughes and his brother, Vancouver Canucks defenseman Quinn Hughes. Team Hughes will wear red All-Star jerseys.
“Inching closer towards my dream of becoming an honorary Hughes brother,” Buble said. “Hugh-ble just sounds right to me.”
The All-Star Game will be telecast beginning at 3 p.m. ET on February 3 on ABC, ESPN+, SN, CBC and TVAS.
