Lil Nas X recently shared a reflective new single, “Where Do We Go Now?”, which was written for his HBO Original documentary Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero.

“So where do we go now?/ We’ve seen everything we had to see/ We figured it out, my love/ So where are we goin’,” he sings on the chorus. “So where do we go now?/ We did everything so endlessly/ And only to feel undone/ So where are we goin’?”

Lil Nas X: Long Live Montero, which officially premiered at the Toronto Independent Film Festival in September 2023, premiered on HBO on January 27. The documentary is also available to stream on Max.

“Where Do We Go Now?” and “J Christ” are Lil Nas X’s first singles in two years, following the release of “Late to da Party,” featuring YoungBoy Never Broke Again, and “Star Walkin’ (League of Legends Worlds Anthem)” in 2022.
