Mariah Carey and Busta Rhymes reunited for the video for “Where I Belong,” a song from Rhymes’ 2020 album, Extinction Level Event 2: The Wrath of God.
The clip, which is a sequel to the pair’s 2002 hit “I know What You Want,” intersperses performance clips of the duo with graphic novel-style animated clips of ninjas battling.
“I live for the ‘nostalgia’ of this new collaboration with my friend, the iconic Busta!!!!” Carey tweeted on Thursday (April 15).
“The past chases you, until it catches you,” Rhymes laments in the visual.
There is also cameo from Trippie Redd, who calls up Busta and tells him that he’s found the missing Tae (LaShontae Heckard) and sets off another action-packed clip that sees the rapper picking up his old partner Michael Jai White for an assault on a pair of samurai in their pursuit of the missing paramour.
