Martin Guitars has announced the launch of a new custom signature acoustic guitar for Shawn Mendes.

The 000JR-10E Shawn Mendes Custom Artist Edition is modelled after the multi-platinum singer-songwriter’s own vintage Martin acoustic, featuring classic Shawn imagery.

Every detail of the guitar was designed and created in collaboration with Mendes.

A swallow is etched on the wings of the bridge, inspired by a tattoo on Shawn’s right hand. In addition, each instrument has a hidden song lyric engraved inside the guitar body. It comes with a special label with a sunburst logo, and Shawn’s signature is inlaid at the top of the fretboard.

Martin used Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified tonewoods in the construction of the guitar.

The 24” long instrument is priced at $799.

Mendes said that creating this guitar alongside Martin has been his dream.

“The signature we created together is not only something I’m proud of musically, but also because it aligns with my passion for sustainability, and supports the Shawn Foundation’s initiatives. I can’t wait to share a guitar I love with fans across the world,” he added.
