Miley Cyrus Opens Up About Near Panic Attack At Milwaukee’s Summerfest

Popstar Miley Cyrus surprised the audience at the Summerfest Music Festival in Milwaukee on Friday, September 17, by being candid about her experiences in quarantine and revealing that she was on the verge of experiencing a panic attack onstage.

“Like everyone else, for the last year and a half I’ve been locked away and isolated and it is very stunning to be back in a place that used to feel like second nature,” the 28-year-old explained to the crowd, mid-performance. “Being on stage used to feel like being at home, and it doesn’t anymore because of how much time I spent at home locked away. And this is very drastic.”

She went on to add that her primary objective in coming clean about her feelings at the moment was that “by being honest about that, then it makes me less afraid.”

The musician then went on to absolutely smash the rest of her career-spanning set, which also included multiple cover songs, including Prince-penned “Nothing Compares 2 U” and Janis Joplin‘s “Maybe.” Towards the end of her performance, she even proclaimed that this was “the greatest concert in the world.”
