Paramore’s Hayley Williams Provides Health Update After Postponing Concerts

Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams has provided an update on health concerns that forced the band to postpone several shows on their current North American tour.

Paramore postponed four shows of their tour in support of This Is Why due to illness within the touring party.

Williams and company were set to perform at Climate Pledge Arena, Veterans Memorial Coliseum, and Vivint Arena on July 24, 25 and 27. The revised dates are August 9, August 10 and August 13, respectively.

The moves came in addition to the rescheduling of a show in San Francisco. The concert at the Chase Center was cancelled at the last hour and changed to August 7.

“As you know, we postponed a handful of dates due to illness,” Williams wrote on Instagram. “We kick back up Saturday in Tulsa (!!!) after a week of misery, sadness, and bellyfuls of antibiotics and steroids. For the record, we did not have food poisoning or a band-wide sh*t fest.”

“In all seriousness, this past week has been really tough. Nobody would know this but I started getting sick in Houston (non contagious) and muscled my way all the way through LA,” she continued. “Adrenaline is a wonder! But by the time the excitement and the nerves from all the LA shenanigans wore off, my body just gave out.”

“Touring is different at 34 than it was at 16, when leaving home felt like the greatest escape,” Williams added.

Williams apologized to fans for “the disappointment and frustration” caused by the illness.
