Rihanna, Beyoncé & Taylor Swift Among Forbes’ 100 Most Powerful Women

Forbes recently released its 18th annual list of the 100 most powerful women in the world, and a few of the most celebrated pop music sensations have made it to the list, namely Rihanna, Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.

Barbadian singer Rihanna led the trio at No. 68. Among the main reasons cited by the magazine was the colossal success of her cosmetics brand Fenty Beauty and lingerie line Savage x Fenty, which earned “Barbados’ most famous export” her billionaire status.

Her notable achievement in the music industry of having eight of her studio albums charting within the top 10 of the Billboard 200 added to the reasons.

Recently, Rihanna was named National Hero of the newly founded Republic of Barbados in an event that celebrated the total emancipation of the country from the British crown.

That’s not all. In a score chart made by the magazine where they rank billionaires from 1 to 10, with 1 meaning they inherited all their money and 10 reserved for self-made heroes, the “Diamonds” singer scored a 10.

Beyoncé made it to rank 76 for her Ivy Park activewear line in collaboration with Adidas and her 2019 Coachella documentary Homecoming.

Her “On The Run” stadium tour with Jay-Z, which earned the couple around $250 million, was also listed as a reason for her inclusion in the list of the most influential women of 2021.

Swift rounded off the trio and was able to find herself in position 78. According to the magazine, the revival of the album “Red (Taylor’s Version)” reaching No. 1 on the Billboard 200, her 2020 album Folklore becoming the first album of the year to sell one million units and “All Too Well” being the longest song to ever reach No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 did the charm.
