Rihanna‘s “Stay” video has earned a membership in YouTube‘s billion-views club.
According to Billboard, “Stay” is RiRi’s eighth music video to cross one billion streams on YouTube, extending her record for solo female artists.
Rihanna recorded “Stay” for her seventh studio album, Unapologetic. It features guest vocals by Mikky Ekko and was co-written by Ekko and Justin Parker. The song’s lyrics speak of temptation and the inability to resist true love.
Upon the release of Unapologetic, “Stay” charted on multiple charts worldwide. It peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
The track was also nominated for the best pop duo/group performance at the Grammys. It also won the song of the year award at the iHeartRadio Music Awards.
