Silk Sonic To Open 2021 American Music Awards Show

Silk Sonic, the supergroup formed by Bruno Mars and Anderson .Paak, are set to open this year’s American Music Awards Show.

Chlöe from Chloe x Halle is also set to make her debut performance at the awards show with her solo hit single “Have Mercy.”

Meanwhile, Silk Sonic is up for three awards, including for music video and R&B song for their hit single “Leave the Door Open” from their debut album An Evening with Silk Sonic, which dropped on November 12.

Silk Sonic joins a previously announced list of performers that include Olivia Rodrigo, Bad Bunny with Tainy and Julieta Venegas, Carrie Underwood and Jason Aldean, Kane Brown, Diplo, Mickey Guyton, Tyler, the Creator, Walker Hayes and Zoe Wees.

The event, hosted by Cardi B, will air live from the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles on Sunday, November 21, at 8 p.m. EST/PST on ABC and stream next day on Hulu.
