“Ex for a Reason,” Summer Walker‘s collaboration with JT of City Girls, placed her at No. 6 on Billboard‘s Hot R&B Songs chart dated October 30.
Walker returns to the Hot R&B Songs top 10 for the first time in a year. The last time a Walker song reached the Hot R&B Songs’ top 10 was in September 2020, when her featured role on Trey Songz‘ “Back Home” peaked at No. 8.
With a total of 14 top tens on Hot R&B Songs, she now has the third-most among women artists, surpassing Jhene Aiko.
Beyoncé with 18 top 10s and Rihanna with 15 top 10s are ahead of her.
“Ex for a Reason” also made its debut on the R&B Streaming Songs chart with a No. 2 rank by registering 8.2 million U.S. streams in the week ending October 21, as per MRC Data.
Walker’s “Girls Need Love,” featuring Drake, and “Playing Games” topped the chart in 2019.
