SZA Shares Lush New Single ‘Saturn’

SZA recently released a new single, “Saturn,” via Top Dawg Entertainment and RCA Records, nearly three weeks after debuting the song in a Mastercard commercial during the Grammys.

SZA wrote “Saturn” with the producers of the track Carter Lang, Rob Bisel, Solomonophonic and Monsune.

The song, which is likely to feature on SZA’s forthcoming SOS deluxe album titled LANA, finds the singer disappointed with the world around her and wondering if life would be better if she could start over on Saturn.

“If there’s another universe, please make some noise/Give me a sign/ This can’t be life/If there’s a point to losing love,” SZA sings in the opening verse.

“Life’s better on Saturn/Got to break this pattern of floatin’ away,” she sings in the chorus before declaring: “Find something worth saving/It’s all for the taking, I always say.”

SOS debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in December 2022 and spent 10 nonconsecutive weeks atop the chart, the most for an R&B/hip-hop album by a woman since Mariah Carey‘s self-titled debut spent 11 weeks at the top in 1991.
