The Weeknd Postpones World Tour To 2022, Expanding To Stadiums

The Weeknd has again postponed his “After Hours World Tour,” which is now slated to kick off in the summer of 2022.

“The tour dates are moving and will commence in the summer of 2022,” the “Blinding Lights” singer said on Twitter. “Due to the constraints of arenas and the demand for more shows I want to do something bigger and special for you which requires more stadiums.”

The updated set of shows will be called the “After Hours Til Dawn Stadium Tour” and will include legs in North America, Europe, South America, Asia, Australia, Africa and the Middle East.

Tickets purchased for the original “After Hours Tour” dates will not be honored, but previous ticket holders will be given priority to buy tickets for the new dates.

“Current tickets will be refunded automatically and all ticket holders will be given priority to buy tickets for the stadium shows when they go on sale. New dates forthcoming,” the Weeknd concluded the announcement.

This is the third time the tour has been rescheduled. The trek was postponed twice due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
