Tyla‘s hit single “Water,” which earned the South African pop star her first career Grammy nomination, has been certified Platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for selling over one million equivalent units.

The Sammy Soso-produced “Water,” which arrived in July 2023 via Fax/Epic Records, is currently No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart dated January 20. The song is in its 15th week on the popular singles chart.

“Water” has amassed more than 338 million streams on Spotify, becoming Tyla’s most-streamed song on the platform, where she currently has 30 million monthly listeners.

Tyla is currently headed to Los Angeles for the Grammys as “Water” competes for Best African Music Performance.
