Tyla’s ‘Water’ Reaches No. 1 On Billboard’s Adult R&B Airplay Chart

Tyla‘s “Water” has climbed to the No. 1 spot on Billboard‘s Adult R&B Airplay chart (dated February 24), rising from the previous week’s No. 4.

“Water,” which was released on FAX Records/Epic Records, logged a 25% surge in plays in the tracking week February 9-15, becoming the most played song on adult R&B radio stations in the week. The song has also earned the Greatest Gainer award for having recorded the largest increase in a week.

The song’s climb has given the Grammy-winning South African singer her first Adult R&B Airplay No. 1 with her first appearance. The song hit the top of Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart for eight non-consecutive weeks beginning in December and was No. 1 for one week on Rhythmic Airplay the same month.

On the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay chart, “Water” earns its sixth, non-consecutive week at No. 2 and reigns the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart for a third week. It also holds at its No. 8 peak on Pop Airplay for a third consecutive frame.
