Ye and Soulja Bay appear to have finally squashed the beef over the left off verse from Ye’s album, DONDA.
Sharing a text conversation between him and Soulja in which he apologized for removing the verse from the album, Ye wrote on Instagram on Wednesday (November 10) : “Yo it’s Ye. Love you bro I should have told you I wasn’t gonna use the verse.”
Soulja accepted his apology, responding, “Love you too bro. That’s all I wanted.”
Earlier, in a recent Drink Champs interview, Ye revealed that he took Soulja Boy off DONDA because he didn’t like his verse.
Kanye, who had reportedly aked Soulja to record a verse for his DONDA song “Remote Control,” cut off the lines from the album without informing Soulja and this resulted in their relationship turning sour.
“Don’t text me and say that verse wasn’t good,” Soulja Boy yelled during a livestream following Ye’s Dring Champs comments. “Don’t get on no muthafuckin’ public platform and say different from what the fuck you told me to my face. Tell me to my face that shit was trash bitch-ass fucking scab-head ass boy. Who cut your hair?”
“Idk how to feel, Kanye sent me that song ‘remote control’ and I don’t hear my verse on it. hmm f**k that ni**a,” Soulja had tweeted in August following the release of the record.
He subsequently leaked his full verse and blasted Ye, writing: “That ni**a Kanye so pussy. Lame ass ni**a thought he could be the president sit yo goofy ass down somewhere that’s why Hov don’t f**k u weirdo. You a bitch @kanyewest and if u got a problem with what im saying I’ll knock u out my ni**a.”
Following the latest development on the omitted verse issue, there is a possibility Soulja Boy might play a cameo on Donda as Ye is known to update his albums after their release.
