American rapper Keenon Dequan Ray Jackson, famously known as YG, has teamed up with Moneybagg Yo and J. Cole on the new single “Scared Money.”
“Scared Money,” YG’s first release since “Sign Language” back in 2021, is the lead single from his upcoming album Pray For Me.
YG announced the song on his Instagram page with a picture of the trio in classic black suits.
The song, focused on the piano beat and 808 bass drums, goes on with the rappers dropping their freestyle lyrics. The song closely follows the cadences of Kendrick Lamar‘s “Humble”.
The video for the song is directed by Drew Kirsch of Top Dawg Entertainment with surreal images of African-American life and culture intermingling with the hip-hop beats.
