Zara Larsson recently dropped a new single, “You Love Who You Love.”
The song is the latest track to be released from her upcoming new album Venus, due out February 9, 2024 via Sommer House/Epic Records.
“It’s like we goin’ ’round in circles/ He does this on purpose to keep you near (Ah)/ This toxic love makin’ you feel like you’re insane/ He promised you he was gonna change, but he’s the same,” Larsson sings on the track.
The single was produced by rising duo MTHR alongside Larsson’s frequent collaborators MNEK and Danja, per a press release.
“We started writing over Pride, and began talking about how amazing it is that anyone can love anyone – but that doesn’t mean you always should!” Larsson explained in a statement.
She added, “We’ve all had that friend, or been that friend, who keeps going back to someone who’s bad for them, and ‘You Love Who You Love’ is saying enough is enough.”
This spring, Larsson will embark on The Venus Tour throughout Europe. The trek marks her first run of global headlining shows since the pandemic. North American dates are expected to be announced soon.
