Billie Eilish Calls Growing Up In The Public Eye A 'Bruising Experience'

Billie Eilish Calls Growing Up In The Public Eye A 'Bruising Experience'

Global alt-pop superstar Billie Eilish, the first person born in the 21st century to win an Oscar, claims that growing up in the public eye was a "bruising experience."

The "Bad Guy" singer was honored as one of the BBC's 100 Women and did an interview with the outlet during which she reflected on her career thus far.

When asked how she would describe herself, Eilish said, "I have no idea. I don't know. I feel like I might have known how to answer a couple of years ago. I don't know anymore. Because I don't look at myself in that way. I don't look at myself like I'm something to explain. I just exist. I'm just a person. I'm just existing and doing my part in life."

Eilish first gained public attention in 2015 with her debut single "Ocean Eyes," written and produced by her brother Finneas O'Connell, with whom she collaborates on music and live shows.

Eilish's first studio album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? (2019), debuted atop the Billboard 200 and U.K. Albums Chart.

Eilish has received multiple accolades, including seven Grammy Awards, two American Music Awards, two Guinness World Records, three MTV Video Music Awards, three Brit Awards, a Golden Globe Award and an Academy Award.

Despite getting numerous awards, accolades and recognition, the singer said that it is a bruising experience to grow up in the public eye and hard to keep defending things you said as a teenager.

Beyoncé Celebrates 'Break My Soul' Going Platinum With New Video

Beyoncé Celebrates 'Break My Soul' Going Platinum With New Video

In celebration of "Break My Soul" going platinum, Beyoncé recently dropped an official "Hive Certified" music video.

Beyoncé dropped the new video on her official YouTube channel as an homage to her loyal fans and supporters who showed off their dance moves on social media when she released the song back in June.

"Break My Soul" went platinum on November 30. The video features a montage of Bey Hive members dancing, recording TikToks, and having fun with Beyoncé's vocals.

The new video opens with a funny clip of one fan tricking his mom and sister by saying he doesn't like "Beyonce's new song." "Get out of here before I break your soul," the fan's mom angrily replies, while his sister stares in disbelief.

"BREAK MY SOUL is Certified Platinum," reads the video's description. "Thank you so much for all the love and for releasing the wiggle."

"Break My Soul" was first released back in June as a preview of Bey's highly anticipated Renaissance album, which dropped the following month. The track peaked atop the Billboard Hot 100 and maintained its reign for two weeks.

Cardi B Blasts Casey Anthony Following New Docuseries

Cardi B Blasts Casey Anthony Following New Docuseries

Rapper Cardi B blasted Casey Anthony, calling her a "disgrace of a mother" after the release of a Peacock docuseries on the Casey Anthony trial.

Last month, the Peacock streaming service dropped the docuseries titled "Casey Anthony: Where the Truth Lies." The three-part program features Anthony providing her side of the story.

The "Bodak Yellow" rapper took to Twitter to share her opinion about Anthony.

"I don't give a [damn] how they flip it, switch it, turn it, toss it - Casey Anthony is a disgrace of a mother and she shouldn't have a uterus," tweeted Cardi.

The Grammy winner added, "I don't feel bad for her or for the daddy. YALL KNOW WHAT HAPPENED to that baby!!!!"

In July 2008, three-year-old Caylee was reported missing by Casey's mother, Cindy, who called authorities after she hadn't seen the toddler for 31 days. Casey lied to detectives, telling them Caylee had been kidnapped by a nanny.

On December 11, 2008, Caylee's skeletal remains were found with a blanket inside a laundry bag near the Anthony family's house.

In 2011, a jury found Casey not guilty of first-degree murder and three other charges related to the first degree murder of her two-year-old daughter.
