The way to our hearts in through our stomachs, and we sure do love Caitlin's. We feasted on scrambled eggs and sausage, and Dom will be the first one to tell you Caitlin's has the best hash browns in town. They are a family restaurant located in Glendale, near Colorado Boulevard and Mississippi. Stop in, enjoy breakfast or lunch, check out their patio, and soon you too will love Caitlin's.

The Dodge Journey has its work cut out for it. The small-to-midsize crossover SUV really wants to compete against some of the leaders in the category - and it does an admirable job when you get right down to it - but this is a segment of the car world that has some tough opponents.

For starters, let's point out that buyers who are anxious for a third-row of seats have a viable option here. Granted, that third row is really only practical for little kids, but when you're seating seven there's a pretty good chance that'll include some little people.

Plus, you can choose built-in booster seats in the second row, which many families love.

Unbroken
By Laura Hillenbrand

Reviewed by Dom

You think you've had a bad day. You were late for work, one of your kids is sick, and the boss just moved a deadline up by two weeks. You're aggravated and angry, and life just isn't fair.

You need to read Unbroken. You need to read it immediately.

I'd read Laura Hillenbrand's first hit book, Seabiscuit, so I knew she could tell a tale that made you feel like you were right there. With Unbroken, you'll have the same feeling . . . which, during much of the book, is chilling.

So you’ve decided that you finally want to experience an SUV. You’ve driven small sedans all your life, and the Colorado lifestyle (both summer and winter) have you craving something a little more rugged.

Or you’ve already tried other SUVs, but they were mostly posers - you know, an SUV body without the off-road chops to really stake a claim.

In both cases, Toyota’s dependable player in this category is the legendary 4Runner, first introduced in 1984. Over the years it has developed from little more than a pickup with a hard-case back into today’s mid-size sport utility.

These days it seems that everything causes cancer. Well, now you can add SITTING to the list. Yep, if you're at a job where you sit all day, you've just increased your risk of colon cancer. And it doesn't even matter if you ran to work; the long periods of being on your butt are dangerous. I've got details.

With everyone catching World Cup fever - okay, maybe not everyone, and maybe not exactly a fever - I've got good news for short people. While you may be at a disadvantage in other sports, it seems that shorter folks excel on the soccer field. Details are in the link at the bottom of the page.

Plus, deep beneath the Earth's crust there's water . . . and I mean a LOT of water. More than all of the oceans combined, actually. I also have a story about the greatest thing to ever come out of a bachelor party, and a video on why garlic gives you nasty breath.

If you'd like to trip down this digital pathway you'll find this week's News For Nerds. Science is cool!

Might as well present the most impressive stat first, and then follow it up with an actual review: The Toyota Corolla is the biggest selling car in automotive history. Yep, since its introduction in the mid-1960s, Toyota has rolled more than 40 million of them off the assembly line and into driveways and garages around the world.

They’ll sell another 300,000 or so this year. Think they know what they’re doing?

Having said that, the trusty little family sedan has had some serious competition of late, which prompted the Japanese automaker to make a few tweaks to their superstar. The ’14 Corolla has a slightly bolder look to it, a little more legroom in the back, and a little better gas mileage - and already had pretty impressive numbers.

I drove the S model for a week, and was struck more by the consistency from past Corollas than by any changes.

Are you afraid of Friday the 13th? What about a full moon? Well, then today you probably should stay in bed with the covers over your head and your thumb in your mouth. We have a FULL MOON ON FRIDAY THE 13TH! Aaaagghhh!

This doesn't happen very often. Let's put it this way: It won't happen again until Jeremy is 70 years old, Emily is in her late 60s, and Jane is 128. (Ha ha!)

Plus, an important note to men: Your cell phone might be damaging your boys . . . if you know what I mean. I have details in the link below.

There's also a helpful story this week concerning something that women should watch out for during a job interview, and a video showing how spiders tune their webs like guitars.

Science is cool, and you can find all of these stories waiting for you right down this digital trail. Click away, and get your nerd on!

See the hurricane? Scary, huh? Did you know that the death toll from a storm like that could depend on the storm's NAME? Weird, but true, and I've got the details.

Plus, you can blame genetics for your dislike of anchovies. Or licorice. Or . . .  well, anything. Turns out that you don't like them because you can't fully smell them. Yep. I'll tell you about it.

And today we honor the brave people who lost their lives at Normandy during WWII. Scientists are finding some surprising things in the wreckage at the bottom of the English Channel, dating back to D-Day. I have a cool video of that NOVA episode. Oh, and a video that explains why bacon tastes so good. (Those two stories have absolutely nothing in common.)

A Time To Kill
By John Grisham

Reviewed by Dom

This is where it all began. No, it wasn’t John Grisham’s first hit, but it was his first published novel. Once his follow-up, The Firm, became not only a smash bestseller but a hit movie to boot, publishers dug up this earlier work.

And, in the twenty-three years since, Grisham has had almost two dozen international bestsellers and nine films produced from his writing. Today there are more than 200 million copies of his work in print.

A Time To Kill was written during Grisham’s down time. He was an attorney in Mississippi, and one day he overheard the story of a 12-year-old girl who’d been raped. He’d always carried around a love of writing, so he began crafting a novel based on this true-life tale.

Dear Friend or Family Member,
I am excited to hear that you are embarking on a new adventure by choosing to move to a new home. I am confident your new home will serve you well until which time you decide to move again.
As your friend or family member, it has fallen to me to help you move. Let me stress that this is a task I am more than willing to help with, however, moving sucks!  I won’t enjoy it, and will more than likely hate my life during the entire process of helping you move.
For that reason, on the following pages is an agreement I am asking you to sign and abide by, whole heartedly, in an effort to preserve our relationship during this stressful time.
Moving day is inherently traumatic. Tempers will flare, words will be said, fights will be had, but if we can agree to the terms of my labor we’ll move forward with a strong a healthy relationship. By signing this agreement we will mutually agree upon several terms by which both of us will abide by regardless how moving day goes.
As I hope you will see from the listed expectations, the overall theme is respect for my time and energy.  If you ask me, or any other friend or family member to help you move, I expect you to be fully prepared on the agreed upon date and time.  I also expect anyone else you recruit to help, to arrive ready to work.  Moving day is not social hour! These people are you friends and family and there will be plenty of other opportunities to socialize with them. Moving day is meant for work and only work until the job is done.
Please continue to the next page to review the moving agreement.
