Kings Of Lean Cancel Remaining U.S. Tour Dates After Mother’s Death

Kings of Leon have cancelled the rest of their U.S. tour dates following the death of the mother of several of the band members.

“If you haven’t heard, our mom Betty Ann passed away peacefully last week. We’ve decided to cancel all remaining tour dates through October to be with our families. Thanks for all of the love,” Kings of Leon announced on Instagram.

“We have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and support from our fans,” Brothers Caleb, Jared and Nathan Followil told their fans.

The popular rock band had to abruptly halt their tour and fly home last week after learning that Betty Ann was seriously ill.

They came to know that their mother was ailing just before taking the stage at The Forum, Los Angeles.

“It was a hard show to get through, but you held us up that night in a way we will never forget,” the siblings wrote on social media after the show.

Formed in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1999, Kings Of Leon is composed of brothers Caleb, Nathan and Jared Followill with their cousin Matthew Followill.
