Lizzo Shares Heartwarming Video Of Her Mom Hearing New Single

Lizzo recently shared a heartwarming video of her playing her new single “Special” for her mother for the first time.

“Here’s the full snippet . this is the first time I played my new music for my momma- I was nervous to post this ! but just know: if the ones you love support you- THATS ALL U NEED?? it’s been a long journey YALL. but I think it’s about that time,” she captioned the video, which shows Lizzo rocking out with her mother Shari Johnson-Jefferson in a parked car.

The video clip turned viral and evoked responses from the likes of America Ferrera, Jonathan Van Ness and SZA.

The Grammy-winner has not announced the release date for “Special,” which marks her first music since the release of “Rumors,” a collaboration with Cardi B, in August.
